"The current structure is located at the City Beach and is maintained by the Parks Department. The light tower was a memorable to Chuck Ritter. It came from a miniature golf course and was donated in 2005 to the city. The city set it atop of an existing concrete water pump station as a tourist attraction. The original location was a miniature golf course that was being demolished to make way for a new condo development. It is named for New Buffalo citizen Chuck Riter who passed away in 2005. It's quite pretty and worth a stop. It's only a couple of miles off I-94 so you don't have an excuse!"
