"March/April 2022, things began to melt during the day and freeze up tight at night. Perfect weather for a Maple Festival in Phelps Wisconsin. The town above the frozen lake, snow pilled high in all the parking lots, the high school/"Festival location", visiting local farms to see syrup production in action... what a fine day we had."
"Very beautiful dence natural forest in a land of many lakes. While boondocking the only time I saw anyone is when I went for supplies. One of the very few areas in America with no trash in the woods. People are a bit shy, but friendly."
"Amazing National parks. Well taken care of. Beautiful views . wonderful trails. Great campsites lots big enough to fit 32' with picnic tables and fire rings. Water and pit toilets. They have beaches at the ones we've been too. Very family friendly. We will be back."
"My husband and I camp here every year at Franklin Lake. We absolutely love it. This place is in the middle of the forest with campsites that have picnic tables and fire rings. You can camp in a tent or camper. We tent it. This year some of the lake sites became reservable. Others are first come first serve. We see plenty of wildlife as we hike on the trails. You can fish, swim, hike or just relax."
