"It's ran down, needs fixed. I called the township hall and they do not have the man power to fix it as it should be. There are bonist that come in from some college, but they aren't doing any help to clean up..or fix things .."
"Amazing place, you go there and there is woods. Water (only sometimes) and nature. Tho the small lookout/fire tower thing is a little sketchy, as I feel it moves significantly more then necessary. But I've yet to fall of it, so that's a plus. It's also usually very quite, haven't seen more then 1 other person that was actually there."
"The boards going around the Bog are in disrepair. It seems kind of dangerous. With that said, it is a very beautiful place, and peaceful."
"Mud Lake Bog preserve is a small but very unique habitat that is well worth a side trip to. Don’t let the barely over 1/2 mile distance discourage you from checking this out, especially if you want to bird watch. Made up of mostly boardwalks this is a cool little place where are you will see things that you will not necessarily see a bigger preserves due to the unusualness of the habitat. The history behind this preserve is also pretty interesting if you are into that kind of thing Google is a great resource. This preserve is free, not handicap accessible, probably would be considered kid friendly if they’re good on boardwalks. This preserve is posted no dogs. There is a small parking area at the road. There are no facilities here so plan accordingly. This is definitely a good place if you’re looking for a little walk and a lot of nature in a peaceful setting. "
"Not much here. It's a great little natural wetland area for wildlife and such. Boardwalk and observation tower area were a bit under water so didn't attempt to walk it. Other end of boardwalk looked a little sketchy so I just left."
