Reviews of Michigan Welcome Center
"Appreciate the services that Michigan provides at their welcome centers. Information on attractions and destinations across the state as well as clean facilities. Many rest areas are closed in late fall through late spring, so the welcome centers that remain open all year are highly valued when traveling. Note to Google maps, would be beneficial if rest areas were a default class that would be displayed when planning trips."
"An informative rest stop next to our Michigan, Wisconsin border. If you're looking for a nicer place to hygiene after a long road trip, I suggest heading a quarter mile to the Wisconsin rest stop. It's of grade A quality!"
"Hours of operation are limited: opened at 8 on a recent Saturday, and that was too long for us to stick around. Have stopped other times when the building is actually open and they have pamphlets for the entire state! Very useful... when they're open. Oh, bathrooms are clean."
"Very clean/nice restrooms. Make sure you stop in the lobby for all the free Michigan area maps and some coupons. I just told the very nice lady who was working inside that we were going to various spots in the UP, and she was able to quickly give me a number of maps and brochures for those areas. Very helpful and worth the stop."
"Probably the cleanest "water-free" restroom I have ever been in. Smelled pleasant, nice temp, very comfortable. Even had a unmanned hopper for disposing of your illegally transport firewood. The two employees staffing the welcome center desk are long time locals who were quick to help you and gave some very interesting out of the way locations for site seeing and some very cool trails for hiking. The welcome center was also loaded with a plentitude of pamphlets and flyers for attractions and activities all of the state."
