"Furnace went out at the end of October. Called them out to fix it. Tech was at my house for 15 minutes, installed a new thermocouple, then found my gas valve leaked. They couldn’t find a replacement part for me, and because my furnace was so old he said he wouldn’t put any money into it. So he left my house without getting heat going, and told me I can call to schedule a new furnace to be installed. I called Deter’s heating and cooling, and he had a replacement part, and had my furnace up and running within an hour. He also came in $20 cheaper than Paulsen’s and was much more personable and professional. And he charged me for the work he did, not just for showing up in my driveway. Now I’m stuck paying these guys $150 for a 15 minute visit and a new thermocouple ($20 part), neither of which fixed my problem."
