"Black River Estate Sales did an excellent job. Allison was very warm and friendly in providing me with what I needed to know and do in preparing for an estate sale. Nate was honest and upfront in providing the “reality check” as to what I could expect from an estate sale given the market in our area and what was available. His early estimate turned out to be quite accurate. Both were forthcoming in addressing my questions and were very responsive to my calls and especially my text messages (unlike other organizations with whom I had been in contact). Since my wife had recently passed Allison’s caring and compassion was sincere and greatly appreciated given the challenges I was experiencing. The two make a great team, and their primary helpers Trisha and Tasha were very efficient and organized in setting up and helping execute the estate sale. Importantly, the 3 ladies were also very helpful in providing additional support when I needed assistance in moving items from storage and assembling some complicated pieces of furniture in my new residence. In addition, Allison provides a consignment service for key items that she can sell online to a global market, especially items of real/potential value that consumers seek to pay garage sale prices. All in all, Black River Estate Sales is a 5 Star operation."

"I've read the other reviews, but my recent visit to one of their estate sales seems to fly in the face of these great comments. In August I visited an estate sale in Indian River and was concerned and shocked with the experience. The property owner's personal information was strewn all over the house. This included their personal tax returns in an open box on the bedroom floor, filing cabinets (which were for sale) full of the owner's personal business paperwork including insurance, car registration, legal, trusts, business cards, etc. The bathrooms were full of personal prescribed and over the counter medicine. All of this was in view within open drawers and cabinets throughout the home. The Dukes were very fine upstanding members of our community and both had professional careers. The setup of their estate sale and the lack of regard for protecting their privacy was unprofessional and seriously question the thought and review this estate firm put into the sale and it's execution. The company owners were not onsite when I was there at Noon."
