Reviews of Law Center For Social Security Rights
"I am a client and I have no problem with the services so far… the reason I did not give 5 stars is because the lady that answers the phone was just kinda rude, I’m assuming she forgot to put her phone on mute and she said “these people crack me up.” Then she was rushing me off the phone telling me it’s her lunch hour… other then that, so far I haven’t had any other complaints with this law firm…"
"My lawyer Cliff Walkon was great to work with. He made the process easy so I did not have to worry about alot of things. Great communication, even when I did not leave a contact number. I would recommend their firm."
"During my initial consult, the lawyer with whom I spoke behaved in a very arrogant manner. I have several well-documented disabilities, but because I have aspirations of recovering to the point of being able to work part-time (4-8 hours per week, max) she cut me off and told me she "wouldn't even take my case" because of this intention to engage in the workforce, even within the institution's allowance for such work. She barely listened to my background, and then, only once she realized the firm might be able to collect a percentage of my back-pay from time I have been completely debilitated, she agreed to send over some paperwork. This lawyer also spoke to me in a mocking tone when I mentioned the nature of my disability and the type of work I intended to pursue. Additionally, she boasted about having several decades-worth of experience, which surprised me, considering her seeming lack of compassion. I called around and spoke to other lawyers who specialize in disability applications, and they explained that they were more than happy to help me if I felt overwhelmed, but they strongly encouraged me to attempt the initial application by myself, as they explained that the SSA prefers to deal directly with applicants during the early stages, so having a lawyer can actually slow things down as well as rack up unnecessary legal fees for me, which would be deducted from my check. I appreciated this candidness, as we all know that every penny counts. When I received a follow up call from the lawyer asking whether I had received the paperwork (since I had not returned it), I shared my reasons for attempting the first steps on my own and the lawyer responded curtly that this "actually isn't true" and said they would be there for me if I needed them. If I do indeed need legal services in the future, I will not pursue representation from this firm and I will not recommend them to others, based on my limited experience. Respect is earned through actions, not from a degree and years of experience. Treat others the way you would like to be treated. Perhaps not all lawyers at this firm behave so disrespectfully towards clients and potential clients, but after reading other reviews, I'm not willing to take that risk in engaging with another bout of mocking and arrogance. I get enough of that in the normal day to day. I certainly don't wish to pay for it."
"Excellent experience! They are friendly, thorough, patient, and well versed. The SSA can be an overwhelming maze. Ms.Kaniowski took away the anxiety. Very satisfied and pleased with their services. I would highly recommend them."
"I give much appreciation to the team at The Law Center For Social Security. The whole team stayed down to walk me through every step of the way. I was very comfortable talking to them and getting any/all paperwork needed. All questions always were answered. My worry was always met with knowledgeable information to make me understand everything was going as planned. Thank you C.W. and to the whole team. God bless and have a great holiday season. ❤️"
