"Met and tried to discuss my situation. Due to being cut off numerous times, I couldn't. Pat asked me to send him copies of my documents. I had them with me but he couldn't make copies. He said that he would review all my documents and would write a letter for me to send/give to my employer. A couple days later, I called because I hadn't received the letter. He didn't even know that he had received the documents. Then he tells me that the documents are confusing and what I should put in a letter to my boss. The notes would not have been confusing if I'd been able to explain everything when we met. I had documented proof from managers that there was racial and gender discrimination happening. Due to a comment he made about a claim, I don't believe the actual documents were ever reviewed. I waited days for his appropriate version of a letter that I needed to give to my boss and never got it. Then, I'm told to do it myself. I still don't know what I received for my $250 that he made me drive to the credit union to withdrawl because he failed to inform me that he didn't take cards. Clover, Leaders, Stax, Square and other card services are out there for small businesses. If it's cash and it doesn't hit a bank account, it doesn't have to be claimed for taxes as income. Maybe that is why. Only he knows but not disclosing that and then expecting someone to cater to your failure to communicate shows a lot of professional maturity. Weeks later, after all of this and our exchange, the termination finally happened. When I reached out he still hadn't reviewed the correspondence because his reply was that he just read the email thread. Don't put yourself through more stress and frustration. Go elsewhere."
