"Made an appointment with Jennifer VanderVeen for my mother to add six beneficiaries to her will, prepare a financial POA and discuss protecting her real property in case she needed to move to a facility. It took more than 10 .months and over $3000 and she didn't even do what was requested. There were changes made to the will not even discussed or requested and she manipulated my mother into signing paperwork that had her office hold the POA until my mother requested it to be released. When my mother called to request it be released Jennifer VanderVeen determined she was being coached on what to say. And then charged another $567 to make that determination and accused me of manipulating my mother. My mother has now passed away and I can't get her documents forwarded to another attorney until the balance is paid in full And now they won't even take my call to discuss or let me speak to Mr Tuesley, Mr Hall or Mr Konopa DO NOT EVER USE THIS OFFICE AS THEY ONLY RIP YOU OFF!!!!!!!!! I will continue to reach out to anywhere possible to report these unethical practices and overcharged fees"
"I had a short consult with Jennifer Vanderveen in September regarding possibility of transferring the POA my sister had to me. We ended our consult with Jennifer going to look at the POA my sister had and let me know if we needed to write a new one, or how to proceed and she would let me know the costs to proceed. I never heard from her again, no call, no email, no communication. My father passed away in October. I got a bill a couple days ago for almost $300 from Jennifer. Over 2 months after the consult! I would expect to pay some kind of consult fee if I chose not to proceed with her services, there was no disclosure of a consult fee prior to when I made the phone appointment. I am shocked and very angry to be billed and treated this way when she has not provided services."
"We've used Tuesley Hall Konopa for at least eight years and they've always been very helpful. Adam Russell is always easy to work with, and we've done two wills with him. The office is located along a major road in South Bend (LaSalle) and has plenty of parking."
"Do not use Jennifer Vanderveen! We hired her to help us with guardianship and medicaid, she told us it would take about one month to get the guardianship; it took over 6 months. We asked her what we needed to do with guardianship and she never informed us of anything. Now 2 years later, we found out that she didn't file everything correctly. She never once helped us with medicaid even though we tried numerous times asking her for help. 2 years later and the person we are responsible for still doesn't have medicaid and he has been in a nursing home this whole time. So much was left untaken care of because she wouldn't help us. All she would do was send us a bill for work that she didn't do."
