"Good place to walk and ride your bike wide trail"
"Started at Mile Marker 21 in Galesburg at the intersection of 35th & Battle Creek Ave. But my recommendation is to start at the Galesburg County Park that has plenty of parking, public toilets, picnic shelter, playground. You can follow the paved path west along Battle Creek Ave and continue west to K’zoo. At mike marker 20.5 you ride thru a county park; you’ll need to pay a $5 day pass if you want to enter the park on bike. We’re really looking forward to the day when the KRV trail connects with the Battle Creek Linear Path. But for now, if you ride East from Galesburg County Park you will abruptly come to the trail end in about 1.5 miles and you can catch Hwy 96 by following the the road that the trail ends at. Hwy 96 is better now that it’s been repaved but the berm is too narrow for my husband & I."
"Started in galesburg and ran towards Kzoo. Very pretty area through woods and a park until you get to Michigan Ave."
"Great ride . Nice trail . Crosses some busy roads ."
"I ride the Kalamazoo River Valley Trail quite often, weather permitting. It is paved and well marked. There are several locations to access the trail and a good spot is Galesburg Primary school off 35th street in Galesburg, if coming from the east. A lot of the trail is quite scenic and goes through several parks over its many miles of trail, including River Oaks Park. Several good views and places to take a scenic break along the Kalamazoo river. There is a long stretch along M96 that is not as scenic, but it is mostly pretty smooth. As with any paved trail, there are occasional rough spots where the tree roots have buckled the pavement, but they are fairly isolated. It's a great trail to ride a bike, walk, skate, run or just stroll looking for photographic opportunities."
