"If you're a first time cabin renter, like me, than you can do no wrong by checking out Turtle Point Retreat. Situated in a nice little hub with other cabins on the lake, this time of year was sparsely populated and we only saw one other person. It's serene, peaceful and tranquil. Although the lake was mostly frozen, the sliver of water that was visible showed us an otter playing and a pike swimming slowly along the shore. The view is beautiful. I enjoyed going to the Porcupine State Mountain park where we hiked to Lake Superior, and seeing Interstate Falls in Hurley, Wisconsin. Not to mention the pasties, which seem to be quite popular up north. Outside, we were visited by a cute red squirrel who seemed very curious about us. My family and I were pleasantly surprised and overjoyed by the lack of hustle and bustle that frequent our daily lives and the change of scenery rejuvenated my soul. This is a catch, a must see and if you're thinking about it, just pull the trigger and book already. :)"
