"This place gets a 5, simply on value for a weeks stay. You can catch panfish right out in front, at the public dock. Sometimes big, sometimes small. It has one bedroom but the cabin can sleep 4 with a fold out couch and a fold down couch available. I would avoid this place on holiday weeks. It has more than a few non residential neighbors and it can get loud. We go here after Labor Day and it is acceptable. A few skeeter but that is to be expected in a place in the backwaters. The locals are very friendly. Winona, MN is just a few miles away. Water levels on the river were down a lot the last 2 times we were here. Lots of weeds on the lakes. Fishing, hunting and hiking available. Perrot state park nearby."

"Staying at the cabin was relaxing and comfortable. The location near the river was great for watching birds and waterfowl. The cabin is modern, yet, cozy and inviting. It was clean, and completely furnished, including the kitchen. Glenn, the owner, was helpful and generous. We want to stay there every chance we get. Birders- We put out dried corn to feed the large birds. Next visit we'll bring black oil seed and Finch food for the smaller birds. They will be in abundance. Enjoy your visit; be respectful of the area and the property. Keep it clean and please recycle."
