Reviews of Walgreens Pharmacy
"I came early for a flu shot appointment that I had scheduled online. The pharmacist Chi Chi was already busy with on site customers and the pharmacy technician Nico was busy with phone inquires and drive thru customers. I don't know how they do it. The moment they finished helping their respective customers, they both turned their devoted attention at my friend's and my needs; processed our flu shot paperwork; and administered the preventive medicine on us. Chi Chi and Nico are wonderful and efficient, and I'd come back to this Walgreen location (my 1st time!) for my future health care needs."
"Staff inside pharmacy seems nice enough but that’s where I have to end the positive comments. I’ve lived near here for about 2 years now and have been using this pharmacy that entire time. If I have a recurring, simple medication that has been established and filled once or twice- like a statin or something- I usually don’t have an issue except it being in-stock sometimes. Outside the normal recurring prescriptions that have been filled at least once, I’ve literally NEVER had a single one-time prescription work out well here. Every time I’ve tried to have something new filled there are always huge delays, sometimes days, and they say there is some sort of “clarification the doctor has to do in order for them to fill it, they’ve called there office and can’t get a response.” —Doesn’t matter the nature of the prescription, the doctor, or the office. The first time or a one-off prescription it will take at least 48 hrs. And this has been the case every time for me. And I’ve sat in pain, been without critical medications, etc. for days due to this same exact issue. And every time it happens, I make one 2 minute phone call to the doctor’s office and they say they have heard nothing from the pharmacy, they had no idea there was a problem, and I watch as the doctor calls and chews them out. And if I’m very lucky, I’ll get my prescription in an hour or so. If it were the same doctor or office, I would think it may not be the pharmacy but rather it’s the doctor. But this pharmacy is 100% the common denominator. Since using this pharmacy- I’ve been in a major accident, requiring surgery and had a couple other lesser heart related issues, and another issue with metal shavings in my eye that still required other specialists, the ER or Urgent Care— each of them different offices obviously and different doctors, but the same results EVERY SINGLE TIME when trying to get my medication. I had both arms in casts with 5 broken bones requiring surgery and had to wait 2 days for my first pain medication last year. Same thing happened just the other day with numbing and antibiotic eye drops when I got metal shavings in my eye- and is why I’m writing this. They wasted an entire day, never updated the reason why there was a delay until I walked in at 5:30 pm to ask what was going on. The prescription was put in around 10 AM. When I got there, they told me their same bs, I called the doctor at the urgent care where I was treated, they had no idea, they called the pharmacy chewed them out and clarified whatever the issue was apparently. Then I find out, they didn’t have it in stock so they had to order it, but it will be in tomorrow. Cool. Next day, I wait and wait, no sign of a change, so I go up there. They didn’t get the order in in time so it won’t be in today, but it’ll be in tomorrow. It’s gross, they should be shut down. I will never set foot in this store again. Also, I used a different Walgreens in Livonia- never had a single issue for several years when I lived over there. I’d rather make the drive out of the way than deal with this clown show."
"Very Poor Service. Average wait time often exceeds 30 minutes. Now prescriptions not in stock. And refusing to fill prescription despite having ID. Thanks for endangering my health."
"Booked appointment for Covid-19 antigen test (an available selection on the Walgreens appointment website). We received email confirmation which stated that results for antigen test takes up to 2 hours. We get to the appointment, the man at the drive up window, stated that they don’t do antigen test (only PCR which takes up to 48 hours for results). Instead of apologizing for their company’s website error, both him and the pharmacist were rude. Instead of saying we’ll make sure it gets corrected, they said we don’t do this test here what do you want to do, and made me feel that I am at fault here. I said just make sure you get it fixed so others won’t have to deal with it again. Pharmacist said, we’ll do (in a rude manner) and just turned around and left. Very bad customer experience."
"Shout out to Bev, the nurse administering COVID vaccines - she was gracious, speedy, and super pleasant. Thanks also to Jacinta in the pharmacy who was juggling eleventy different things yet was friendly also. It's service representatives like you who turn a generic store into a neighborhood fixture. Thanks for making this easy!"
