"We are very suspicious of state agencies as many people are and we were basically terrified to send our young child through the forensic interview. Our son finally said he wanted to go do the interview as he is processing very difficult emotions and volunteered that he wanted to go. I can say, the day after going for his forensic interview, there is a calmness and peace that has enveloped us. His ability to tell people who care, listen and believe him made him feel so empowered and relieved. Before we even left, we felt a weight lifted off of our shoulders. They did a fantastic job of helping him to have fun and speak freely. God bless you all for your kindness and guidance through this difficult time."
"I highly recommend this place to others. The staff and volunteers are very friendly. I feel it is a welcoming environment. I am glad that CARE House makes a big impact especially during this pandemic."
"Very secure and friendly people. But I was just giving a friend of mine a ride to there appointment.. and I was put in a room and had to ask or actually wait for someone to come and see how I was doing before I could youse The bathroom or go back outside to smoke a cigarette.. IT'S TO KEEP EVERYONE FEELING SAFE AND PRIVATE, I UNDERSTAND THAT.. but I'm sure my position happens Alot giving a friend a ride.. just think they should have an area where people are free to COME and go.. 3 hours I fealt A's I was being detained in a very small room.. so if you don't have patience and are claustrophobic ,don't take someone there.. because they're just trying to be nice.."
"I wish to extend a very warm and heart felt thank you to the staff at Care House of Oakland County for helping us with a most troubled time in my granddaughters life. All of you WONDERFUL ladies in my opinion went way above the call of duty and made her feel so comfortable and safe through this time. I also want to say you made I and my wife feel very much loved and concerned with us about what was happening. The investigators were fabulous and very helpful and kind, a SURPRISE in these troublesome times. I would like to say THANK YOU for helping us and her... GOD BLESS YOU ALL"
