"I can’t say enough great things about the Learning Curve DayCare!! My 3 year old son LOVES the time he spends with Miss Bonnie, Miss Liana, and Mr. Al!! From the home cooked meals (that they include the children in preparing), interactive play (helping grow their social skills with their peers), staying consistent and positive with our potty training routine, creative arts and crafts (preparing them for future school days), they are an amazing team!! The children and parents are treated like family here, they are so welcoming and kind hearted. My son and I will continue our relationship with the Szary’s for life and I will always recommend their in home daycare to everyone, they are simply the BEST!!"
"The BEST life journey for your family!! Seven years ago I was drawn into The Learning Curve on a deep seeded gut feeling. Welcomed with open arms, the feeling of wonder, excitement and warmth we took the leap! Fast forward to now as my oldest son turned 10 in March. He spent the best 2 years (age 3-5) growing, learning & loving with the Szary family. My youngest son turning 4 in days has been growing, learning and loving for a little over 2 years at the The Learning Curve. Miss Bonnie, Miss Liana & Mr. AL are the best thing for the littles. From helping with potty training, sharing leasons, wholesome homemade meals, teaching the important family values, tons of outdoor play, gardening and preschool activities these people are so much more than just daycare providers. They are family! They are the greatest support system any family could ask for. From the littles to the parents The Learning Curve really is setting the bar high for all. Their philosophy on making each child a part of the family is most important for the growth & development of such young minds! I have and will continue to refer anyone who needs childcare to The Learning curve. They have made a huge impact on my family through the years. The loving life lessons Miss Bonnie, Miss Liana and Mr. AL have taught not only my children but myself will last long after the children have grown. We will continue to keep the Szary family close to our hearts forever!! -The Thibo's"
"This is like Heaven on Earth for an "In-Home Daycare" My 2 daughters have been attending since they were 1yrs old. (Its been 3 years total so far.) When you pull into their facility you can see all the outdoor activities the children have access to, to run and play. Inside of the facility it is organized and always clean. This is a family business and they treat my 2 children and myself as such, like family. It feels like I am dropping them off to their grandma's house. My daughters run to the door every morning excited to play and always never want to leave. lol All the adults, Mrs. Bonnie, her husband Al, and daughter Liana, I have grown relationships with over the years. They have all worked with my girls through their terrible 2's & 3's helping them learn how to get along with other children & socializing. They do creative learning with preschool activities preparing them for actual school. The Learning Curve also works with parents & kids that go to Grand Blanc schools! The bus picks them up & drops off kids to their location and an adult is always there watching over our kids. This is an AMAZING bonus they offer for an In-Home Daycare. I cannot say enough good things about them. I feel so blessed we found them. 5 Stars all the way!"
"I realize as humans and business owners we all have the right to express our feelings and opinions. We also get to make choices for our own mental, emotional, and lifestyle choices and hope our fellow humans can respect our boundaries. I also know how hard it is to be truly objective when it comes to our children, when our instinct is to insulate them from all wrongs. Perceived or otherwise. I have two sons who attend The Learning Curve. One has attended from 2.5, now in Kindergarten at 5.5. My 7 month old baby, I feel it is important to note, is the "other kid" that had a toy thrown at him. He has been with Miss Bonnie and Miss Liana since he was 2 months old. Being objective is hard, so is accepting an older child threw a toy and the parent comment was “but it was a soft toy”. I know kids at 2 are still learning, so are adults. I was there the morning Miss Bonnie discussed transition for this little person. It wasn’t a “cold turkey” conversation, it disheartens me to see this review, and I felt compelled to state another perspective. Not everything in life is a perfect fit. I have a demanding career that I love so my only role isn’t mommy. When I went looking for daycare, I wanted my children to have someone who filled the gap where I couldn’t be. The majority of options don’t come close. It doesn’t take long for the character, salt of the earth FAMILY style of this SMALL BUSINESS to become apparent to its clients. Bonnie and her daughter make no secret that this is their home and occupied by their family. They have Simply made my family a part of theirs. This is a STATE certified, family operation. Mr. Al, Bonnies husband, comes and goes you know...because he lives there and supports his family. I have seen the number of children adjusted each and every time according to the number of caregivers. Their outdoor space, home cooked meals, and Extra activities are irreplaceable. Her flexibility is second to none, but her love-you can’t hang a price tag on it. It doesn’t exist in this society of iPads and techno junk, where those things are the babysitter and we cast blame on others who put solid expectation on our little people. Evaluating ourselves as parents is uncomfortable, but necessary and worth doing. It helps us raise better humans, and not tarnish the hard built reputation of a woman who goes above and beyond for children in a society of hard to please individuals. I’ve seen her on days where she wonders if she should be doing this work, and I wonder what my family would do without her. Pretty important for potential clientele: her indoor play area has multiple fire escape windows, up to code. Probably worth checking before you leave your kids, just saying. The smaller indoor area is square footage state appropriate per child. The state wouldn’t let her run otherwise. These are upstanding, loving caregivers that go above and beyond for other people’s children. They have put everything into a small, family business, and sometimes, one size simply doesn’t fit all. All you would need to do is meet these people to understand there isn’t a single malicious bone in her body, in fact she should be a little more selfish to protect herself. We should be able to respect the boundaries others put in place for themselves, knowing at some point we will do the same, and have every right to do so. The Learning Curve is simply amazing!"
"Absolutely can not say enough positive things about The Learning Curve. From day one my wife and I felt so comfortable dropping our son off to Mrs. Bonnie and Miss Liana. From the home cooked lunches and meals to the teaching and love they have for each child is top notch. Would HIGHLY recommend their daycare to anyone in search of child care."
