"I have been doing business with this bank since it was the old Sand Lake Bank. We had our home mortgage, to various farm equipment loans with the bank. All the people here are amazing, they know their stuff and are over the top helpful and friendly!!!! The only negative, and it is a corporate negative, is the fact Independent Bank is involved with the global ESG movement."

"Worst bank... after the new update they suspended my card and I had no access to pay my bills for 2 weeks with 0 answers... took over a week to get a new card in the mail. Were not able to print a new temporary card because their new system was able to use their old card machine. Will be switching to a new bank come morning. Banker beware. Do not roll a new system out if you are not ready to do so."

"There is no way to get a hold of anyone after hours. I am locked out of my checking/banking online account, and can't get a hold of a soul. They used to have people helping you after hours, but NOPE not anymore. I am moving to a new bank that has that service. This is a breaking point for me. Other than that, it is a nice bank, friendly etc. Conveniently located as long as you don't need to ever do anything after hours."
