Sheridan Court Apartments

"S.S and L.B that work in the front office have high integrity and advocate for the residents at Sheridan Apt. Many reviews you read are horrible and that is because there was a management change of this property. The new management is taking control of the current situations and rectifying and bringing Sheridan Apts back to a high standard of living in the Detroit area. I’m leaving this review so others will know that this place is on the up hill swing of things and they will follow through with your wants and needs as long as it is within their scope of things. However, you have to communicate and not approach them disrespectfully and realize the situation you’re having is not their fault. Everyone there is just an employee trying to do the best they can daily. My words of advice for anyone looking to rent at Sheridan. It’s a great location, it’s safe and the rent is decent compared to other places. From what we have seen as a family the new management is taking great strides into improving and making the needed updates daily to Sheridan apartments. We were residents there during the management change and there were times we were frustrated however Shae and Latoya stayed in communication with us every step of the way and even raised our concerns with the higher up management team. I hope this review resonates well and was easy to understand for everyone that works and rents at Sheridan Apt. God Bless Jesse"

"I lived here for a short time, and had to move because of terrible living conditions. A few months after I moved in, I started seeing what looked to be mice droppings around corners in my studio, under my kitchen sink, and inside my blender. To make matters worse, my window completely fell off, and never truly stayed fused shut and able to maneuver. I also had an issue with bed bugs, that left me having to throw away my mattress and move out. DO. NOT. LIVE. HERE."

"I lived in Sheridan Court for just under 2 years (moved out in May) and it was awful! The management was elusive, unorganized, and very rude! They treat tenants like they are nuisances! At some point during the course of my lease, I had to deal with mice, roaches, bed bugs, and even a squirrel in my unit! The building was falling apart, filthy, and infested with pests. Maintenance always did the bare minimum. The elevator, boiler, and laundry machines were frequently broken. The temperature inside was always either way too hot or way too cold. The side doors to the building remain unlocked so anyone could get in, the lobby often smelled like cigarette smoke, and there is no gated off street parking like the website claims."

"My boyfriend has been staying at Sheridan Court for years. Ever since the new management took over, I’ve seen this place change immensely FOR THE BETTER. They are constantly cleaning, doing upkeep and maintenance, and even setting up cameras to stop package theft. These apartments are finally a place I can feel safe and comfortable living at. The new management is the only reason these changes have happened, and I couldn’t be more grateful."
