Reviews of First Street Lofts of Rochester
"Love my apartment at the Lofts! Very quiet setting in Downtown Rochester. Just off of Main St and across from the walking, biking, running trails! Staff of the Lofts are always pleasant and helpful! The fitness room is awesome and all of the halls, elevator, back stairwell and car ports are very very clean and safe!"
"If you're looking for an honest review, here it is: I lived here from May 2021 to May 2023 (about to move out) and have enjoyed my time at The Lofts. I've included a fair outline of pros and cons of my time here but, as I'm sure you've determined based on my star rating, it went well. Pros: - The building itself is nice and, something I hadn't considered before moving in, very quiet. That's not to state that people don't make noise here, it's just built well so that sound doesn't travel. Occasionally I'll hear someone walking or someone in the hall but very, very rare and never for more than a few seconds. - Staff is friendly and nice. If you've been around Rochester for a bit you'll recognize Kerry, who is awesome. Maintenance guys, like Brandon, are also very nice, timely, communicative, and punctual. Maintenance requests are through an app and I don't remember having to wait longer than a couple hours to hear from them (most of the time its extremely quick) after I've submitted something on the app. - Residents are really nice. I personally have never had an issue with any resident and have a cordial relationship with most. - It's safe and secure. There are locked doors everywhere with only residents being able to get in, along with cameras, proper lighting, alarms, etc. My point is that you won't feel unsafe in this building if that's a concern of yours. - The location is pretty much unbeatable. You're a few blocks from a small downtown area with food and shopping, a few blocks another way from residential area with friendly people about, or a few blocks another way to a walking trail and public parks. - Dog friendly. Tons of dogs here, including my own, and everyone is super good with their dogs. This is actually really, really important for anyone out there with a dog (as I learned the hard way) that not many places in the area allow dogs or "big" dogs (over 35 lbs). I have a 50 lb. lab mix who is extremely well behaved but so many places in the area shut the door on me because they don't allow big dogs. Based on my experience here, it seems that if you have a good dog then it won't be an automatic no because it may be "big". Cons: While maintenance and staff are great, there seems to be high turnover with property managers and that leads to very poor communication for who I was supposed to go to for certain things. This isn't a huge dealbreaker but it happens more often than I would have guessed. Quite frankly, the price. It is what it is but it was probably the largest factor for me to move out as I wasn't sure exactly what I was getting for the cost. Its nice, its safe, its in a good location, but for me, in my opinion, that still wasn't worth the cost of living. Price may not be an issue for you and, if that's the case, then ignore this. View. This was something I knew going in as I saw my unit before signing the lease, but if you're on the north side of the building then there's absolutely nothing to look at besides parking lots. If you have the option, go for the south side. All in all, the pros absolutely outweigh the cons if you're looking to live here. I would recommend if you're interested as, even for me being in the smallest unit, I still enjoyed my time here."
"We lived in The First Street Lofts for a year and a half while building our home. These units are more like condos than apartments. Kelly (management) is amazing. As soon as any kind of maintenance request went in, you got a response within hours. Kerry and Brandon—part of the First Loft team are equally attentive to resident needs. I would highly recommend these apartments for short or long time stays. Plus you CANNOT beat the location! Restaurants, bike trails, shopping are right at your doorstep."
"My wife and I needed a temporary apartment quickly and Kelly did an outstanding job getting us into a fully furnished apartment within 24 hours. The first street lofts team went above and beyond to accommodate us and the apartment was extremely clean and well furnished. The location is excellent, the lofts are well appointed, pet friendly, quiet and secure. Thanks again for working with us and remaining flexible to meet our needs! I would highly recommend first street lofts to those seeking a peaceful and luxury apartment or executive/short stay!"
"Have been over two years. Can’t say enough great things about First Street Lofts. Well run management team, and Kerry is very attentive to all his tenants! Packages are delivered right to our door. If there is ever an issue they are on top of it immediately. Great location. Beautiful building and beautiful units! They are pet friendly which is well appreciated! Would highly recommend this place!"
