"I find it ironic that the last comment specifically mentioned that there was no pretentious attitude here... Why would he mention that when a pretentious attitude is precisely what I got from the owner here? Perhaps he was foreshadowing. I donated some items here because I am done with wine making and the lady who ungratefully accepted my gift seemed nice enough on the phone that I thought I would do some locals a favor. They presumptuously assumed this favor from me and kicked me right out of the way (not literally, of course). Yes, I know, my review will stick out like a sore thumb among these other shining, five star reviews. But I don't really care what people think of you, or think of me. I am sick of people like you, all contempuous and proud. I will judge you by what I have experienced myself. I thought of a kindness that day. I hope some day you may think of others more needy than yourselves, or at least learn to accept a gift with grace."

"I stopped by for the first time this weekend. The owner was very helpful and answered all of my questions. What I really liked is that he is laid back and helpful. There was no hint of pretentious attitude. Just helpful down to earth attitude. This is the type of place that will make you feel good about doing business there. My lager is happily chugging along in the fermenter right now."

"UPDATE: I was able to stop in a few days ago. Staff was friendly and they had a very good selection of yeasts, various hoses, fittings, all 9f that good stuff. I didn't check out much of the grain selection as I am already backed up in my planned beers and running out of places to store it. Extra points for the very friendly dogs that helped me pick out the couple of things I needed while I was there. As I and others have stated, definitely check out the Distant Whistle next door. Original: Hours posted on the door and online show open at 10:00 AM on Saturday, they are closed and no one answering the phone. It is a shame as I was looking forward to checking them out as I liked the Distant Whistle's beer last time I was down here. Edit: Received a response from the owner so I'll bump up a star for a prompt response, I will give them another shot and will update this review again when I have done so."
