The Marquette

"I lived in these apartments for 7 months and moved out about a few weeks ago. I'll start with the positives: this place is a great location being so close to downtown Milford. The apartment itself was very nice at the surface level, and I received my refund after moving out very promptly. However there were some downsides: The train. While you do get kind of used to it, its SUPER loud when it goes by and it sometimes goes by up to 4-5 times a day (my apartment faced the tracks). Also when I moved in, Mark was still the manager and he was awesome and is mentioned in a ton of the reviews. He left a few weeks after I moved in and I never received any communication about the new manager. We apparently had an interim manager but then the property was sold to North Management and they took over. They did send some communication about the transition to new management but I never received anything about who the new manager was or anything. With both property managers, there was never any community events or anything that I was aware of for the apartments. The gym has very little equipment and the game room doesn't have much either. Also where my car port was, my car was hit with the sprinklers every morning and it left super hard water marks all over my car which was not ideal. Also as as seen in the pictures (that were taken with a week or 2 from each other), people let their dogs pee in the building. One picture was from the elevator and the other from the floor in the hallway near the elevator. While this is not something management can control much, it was not great to have to smell dog pee pretty regularly walking into the building. And lastly, I was on the 2nd floor and there are 4 floors in the building. Somehow the roof (?) leaked into my apartment through the ductwork and down the walls. They then expected me to keep 6 industrial size fans and an industrial size dehumidifier on all day and night to dry the floors/walls. The equipment was in my apartment for a full week, making it difficult to get around my bedroom and then I was blamed, making it seem like it was my fault that it took so long for the floor to try due to turning off the equipment. A lot of these things cannot be controlled by management and other than the issue with the water leaking, I did not have to submit any maintenance requests or have any issues with management. I just wanted to share my experience for others looking to move in."

"Since the management change to North Management the experience has been incredible and highly upgraded! Super responsive with work orders and the overall communication is second to none. Highly recommended!"

"I’ve lived at the Marquette for almost a year now while my house is being renovated and have had a great experience. Mark was our leasing agent and extremely helpful. We have filed 2 work orders since we have been here and both were fixed by Mark personally well within 24 hours of filing those claims. We live on the first floor and the neighbors above us are loud at times, but that is to be expected when you choose to live in a high rise building. Not sure why so many people left negative comments about hearing noises in the hallways - when you live in a building with 100+ other people you can expect to hear some noises every once in a while. Our amenities are great and always well taken care of. I would highly recommend The Marquette to anyone looking to move to the Milford area."

"I moved into The Marquette back in September and I have had nothing short of an amazing experience. The Property Manager, Mark, was so helpful from the first phone call I made for a tour. He goes above and beyond with any request to make our stay here the best it can be. I love the updated design of these loft-style apartments, and the tall ceilings really give the feel of city living. Between the community room, gym, dog spa, and game room in our building, to the walking trails and downtown shops, bars, and restaurants that are so close, we barely ever leave a 1 mile radius of this place! The location can’t be beat. Putting a great location with a great staff, friendly neighbors, and high end design really makes this place feel like luxury living."
