"This is literally the worst apartment complex ever. The management team doesn’t ever help with anything and doesn’t have any knowledge on literally anything that you ask them when it comes to the apartment complex itself. We have had a leak/hole in our bathroom ceiling from September and still currently have the huge hole in the ceiling in January/February. We have had at least ten different maintenance people come in to change the air filters and do regular maintenance things and a couple have even been in here more than once but still act surprised when they see the hole in the ceiling that THEY put in to “fix the leak”. Not to mention the unit we’re in wasn't even move in ready. Our dishwasher and washing machine didn’t work so we had to wait a week to even be able to do laundry and use the dishwasher. Our back door window didn’t even lock and we are on the first floor. So basically if you want to avoid any safety issues, clueless management and maintenance, useless appliances even though you sought after these apartments just because they had in unit washer/dryer/dishwasher, DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!"
"I do not recall making a five star review, so that is why I am changing my previous review to this one, and heres why. The apartments themselves were great and had plenty of room for my roommate and I to live comfortably. I enjoyed having the washer and dryer in the unit and I liked that the complex had activities for the people living there to attend. The maintenance we good for the most part. They were quick to fix any issues we had and fixed them well. The only issue I had was the first time we had to call because our washer was leaking water, and the person that came to fix it accused me of stealing a piece to the washer. He then later admitted that he might have forgotten to put the piece on originally... Lastly, anytime we had a problem we would send an email and unless it had to deal with us owing money, we never got a response. This happened several times where we had questions or complaints about our neighbors smoking weed in our non smoking building (and it stated in our contract that we could be fined if we are smoking in the building) and the smell kept getting into our apartment. But again, if it didn't involve money, we didn't get any help."
"First, it started off good. Office staff seemed nice and helpful. The apartments are showing their age, but we loved the location. We only lived there for six months and we decided to break our lease. We had no problem paying to do that. We take accountability for what we do. Thought everything was good. We left the apartment cleaner than we even received it. We thought everything was settled. Few weeks after moving out I received a bill saying we had to pay for new carpet. I called the number and the lady said the pictures looked like it was left nice and clean. So she sent me to their dispute email account. Made the dispute and they said it was due to them pulling up the carpet and seeing pee stains. Umm. The carpet was old for us when we moved in only 6 months ago and my dog doesn’t even have accidents. Previous tenants could have easily been the culprit. I do think they chose to pin it on us to get even more money out of us! They are obviously shady and I would never recommend them to anyone!"
"We moved in at the end of August 2023 and it has been nothing but a disaster since. When you walk into our building if you look up there’s a ton of mold right there and it’s so embarrassing when we have guests come over because they notice it and ask us about it. We put in a maintenance request for that, and it got marked as completed a few days later but the mold is still there. We completed the move in checklist for any damages that we noticed, and then maintenance came to check it all out. They fixed the blinds and outlet that needed repaired/replaced and then looked at the crack next to the sink. After taking pictures and checking with their supervisor we were told “this should have been noticed and fixed before you moved in, so we are replacing all counters/cabinets in the apartment and all of the kitchen appliances.” We said ok, and are very thankful for them doing that. But, after the cabinets, counters and appliances were in and once the contractors started working is when it became a nightmare. We had NO kitchen at all for 3 days, no sinks at all for 2 days, and one toilet for 2 days for me, my husband and my 2 year old son. So we had to eat out all three days which was a big unplanned expense. When maintenance brought our appliances up, they left all of them in their bulky boxes in the center of the living room to where we could barely walk through our apartment and I’m home with my son all day, everyday. On top of that, according to the contractors that were amazing and very friendly, Autumn Lakes would not give them the items they needed to fix what needed to be fixed or to even complete the job totally. Again, we are thankful for the updating of the cabinets, counters and appliances but it should not of happened the way it did. So now, we’ve had a maintenance request in for TWO weeks, waiting for stuff to be finished from the upgrades, on top of that our brand new dishwasher doesn’t dry the dishes and we have to hand dry them, our sink was leaking for over a week before it totally gave out and got water all over the kitchen and even got into some of the nearby carpet and also ruined $70 in diapers for our son & another $40 in toilet paper/paper towels, our bedroom windows leak when it rains or it’s cold, there’s a major draft from the windows in the second bedroom that makes the room so cold or so hot that my two year old son can’t even use it so he has to sleep with us. This is ridiculous. For over $1400 in rent every month, this should not be playing out the way it is, and we should be taken care of. I do not recommend autumn lakes apartments and I will make sure all my friends and family are aware of the issues we’ve had, if it wasn’t an outrageous amount to break our lease we would be gone already, and we will definitely NOT be staying once our lease is up."
"Excellent maintenance and support, always a single phonecall and usually only minutes away. My only truly negative experience was the shock of discovering the auto-pay had lapsed, and all that ensued. I made the comment that a courtesy email should go out, as well as at the time of any missed payments. As difficult as that one day was, the staff responded quickly, helped me make sure thing got things squared away, and made things right. I hope they find a way to make those automated notifications a reality, as it can go far to keeping a welcoming and engaging environment. Why the five stars? It's not about expecting perfection... it's about expecting people to care enough about the service when the unexpected happens, and that has been experienced over and over again with this team. I never once felt the need to look anywhere else the entire time I've lived here. Congratulations on a great property!"
