"Felt like the one star review is so utterly unfair, even though I normally don’t write reviews online, I have to this time. My family just finished a one week stay at Branda’s beach house and the place is amazing! The lake is very quiet even in the peak summer season. We rented the pontoon and tubed the kids on the lake a lot, very few boat traffic and always plenty of room. The lake in front of the house is shallow and has a naturally sandy bottom. We have stayed in plenty of Michigan lake houses to see how rare that is. Very safe for kids to swim in. Lake is extremely clean, again right at the top of the many lakes we stayed in Michigan. Bluegill right under the dock for kids to fish. We caught bass off the dock too. House is situated in the perfect position to see glorious lake sunset. Owner provides plenty of firewood for the fire pit. I don’t see any geese which is a plus too. (Can’t count how many similar places are filled with geese droppings, which make you worry when kids play right next). Overall the natural location of this place is perfect, it has everything you want from a lake house and none of the things you don’t. Inside the house the furniture is a bit dated, the mattresses are not the best quality but really, you won’t mind those minor imperfections."

"We had a wonderful time spending time with family at Brenda's Beach. I was very displeased with the cleanliness, and little things all over in the house that was broken. The kitchen cupboards and dresser drawer needed wiped out. Urine on toilets in both bathrooms. No supplies of washcloths, toilet paper, paper towels, or trash bags! Being fair there was one trash bag in the trash bin and a half of roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. The floors on both floors had not been swept. Dresser draw's were broken in more than one room. Toilet holders were broken in both bathrooms. Cob webs in every room and bug smears on the walls. They kept our deposit for a lamp that was already broken when we arrived. Expect to not keep the deposit. False illusion of a stocked house with a nice beach. THERE IS NO BEACH. The soft serve Ice cream store down the street is a LIQUOR STORE! The house needs maintenance man and a better clean up crew to make sure the bathrooms and kitchen are kept up with supplies for as long as been be. The reviews of these other people i believe are false made up reviews by the owner to keep people coming I have this a 1 star hands down."
