"I see what all the fuss is about, this company has gone down big time since I first started buying from them many years ago. They shipped me part of an order, said the whole order was completed, and I spoke with them and emailed the requested pictures of the packaging and didn't hear back. Also their phone system intentionally/unintentionally drops calls when on hold. I waited through 4, 4-5min hold sessions and gave up. Luckily I'm not far from Northbrook so I can complain in person about their new normal routine of failure to properly fulfill orders."

"Every now and then great prices BUT...beware the bait and switch on coupons and other great deals. I had "Free 2nd Air Shipping" until after they hit my credit card and suddenly it's standard shipping. Shipping is their biggest problem. Often it is caused by selling "in stock" items and after check out you learn it will be at least a month until delivery ...i.e. they lied about "in stock." They are usually OK on returns and cancelations which I have done many times due to their slow shipping/not really in stock items."

"I have ordered a couple of times from OP without issues like some of these reviews. The fact is you need to READ the item details and check and verify stock status before ordering. Also, know what you are ordering (Airsoft only item?). If you don't know pick up a damn phone and talk with someone. I dinged one star for the what seems to be a bit slowness in getting the order processed and shipped. Ordering a single item shouldn't take 3 days to put in a box and add a shipping label ;-)"

"I have made two orders from these scammers in the past. The first order I had to cancel because they would not ship it out. The most recent order went smooth, but the item was missing parts. Specifically the manufacture included magazine. At the very least if the product was discounted to reflect the cost of purchasing the magazine separately, I would have understood and been content to deal with it. However they provide no such option. Optics planet has refused to make this right and the best they can offer is a refund in the form of store credit. What an absolute joke. They had a chance to gain a customer, and they promptly failed. To OpticsPlanet - Resolve my issue and I'll be happy to take down my review."

"The one and only reason I ordered from them is because they had everything in stock. I searched multiple websites to find one that had everything in stock,made 110% sure everything was in stock before I placed my order. Then they tell me part of my order isn't in stock,said they wasn't taking the money for the part not in stock, yet my money is still tied up with them and I can't order my part from somewhere that actually has it because this company is dishonest. It's obvious your website has a issue saying stuff is in stock but you can't seem to fix that even though it's a known issue to you guys. Edit: 1 week later and I am still waiting for my money back"
