Reviews of Diamond Place Apartments
"I have lived in one of PK Housing apartments, Belknap Place, for a year now. I met Amy Jasman, a property manager, on the day I initially signed my lease; and what a delight she is. She is caring, compassionate, and professional. She is an asset to the company and a continuously helpful person to the residents. Thank you for all you do, Amy! I appreciate you :)"
"I've lived at Diamond Place Apartments for more than two years. I appreciate many things about living here: 1. The Property Manager, Amy, and her staff. 2. The online portal where I submit maintenance requests as well as pay rent. I find the portal convenient and easy to use and Amy and her staff responsive to maintenance and other requests. 3. It's easy to schedule a meeting with the friendly and helpful staff during posted office hours. 4. I feel safe at Diamond Place with the FOB entry system for the building and ramp. 5. The Midtown location near the Medical Mile and Downtown GR. 6. The ramp attached to the building and 2 elevators. 7. The office will receive your packages when they are open. 8. The full size washer/dryer and stainless steel appliances in my apartment. 9. I find the residents friendly and respectful. Check the website to view additional amenities. Consider Diamond Place Apartments if you searching for an apartment. You'll be glad you did!"
"There is a LOT of crime surrounding this apartment complex. To reach staff you must call/email multiple times. Cheaply done apartments that are far from "luxury" units. Poorly maintained amenities. VERY expensive for what you get. There are a lot of tenets who smoke cigarettes and marijuana in their units. I also experienced people doing illicit drugs in the hallways (I believe it was meth). Edit: they have replied to my google review but not the 16 phone calls and dozens of emails. Their countertop are plywood and vinyl. "luxury" on first glance only. I've never left a bad review in my life, but AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!"
"I am going to leave an open and honest review on this place and my ongoing battle with them for the last 5 years. I moved here when the property was brand new. I was super excited because they were beautiful apartments. The first issue I had with them was the fact that my “door bell” never worked so I had to physically go downstairs to let company in. I complained about this many times a month in my whole 10 month stay there, it was never fixed, mind you I’m pregnant at the time. The second issue was that the hallways were always trifling and neighbors were always throwing parties so there was always loud music and randoms in the hallways. I literally have pictures and videos of animal poop on the hallway floors, chicken bones scattered throughout the hallways, pickles stuck to walls, hot sauce (yes hot sauce) plastered on the walls of the hallways and elevator, ect… While we are on the topic of the elevator, it was always broken. Again, mind you I’m pregnant at the time and I lived on the 4th floor, walking up and down 4 flights of stairs while pregnant was atrocious. Anywho, at the time, fire alarms would also be pulled randomly in the middle of the night meaning I’d have to get my very pregnant self up in the middle of the night and run outside in the middle of the night for NOTHING. This would happen at least once a week and continued when I had my baby. We’ve literally had to get up and leave in the middle of the night when the alarms were pulled. MY NEWBORN. But wait!!! It gets worse guys LOL I wake up one day to a “nonpayment of rent judgement” on mine and about 20+ other peoples door. Mind you, this was before they had electronic rent payments so people were paying with checks and money orders, ect… and also before I had my baby. I had already paid rent so I went to the front desk ASAP and there was a line of 5+ people who were complaining about the same thing at like 8am. Our rent payments went “missing” from the rent drop box. They had NO answers for us and basically told us to either pay again or go to court. I don’t know about other people but I didn’t have 2 rent payments just sitting around. So fast forward to me stressed out over this situation sitting in court about rent that I PAID already, and I’m about 35 weeks pregnant. Y’all I went into court and told them I don’t owe them anything. The judge told us to take a break to “discuss” the matter. I was basically bullied by the property manager and their lawyer into saying that I owed them the rent in order to proceed in court and get it over with. I was so stressed I was rushed into early labor a few days later because my blood pressure was so high. But wait, it gets worse LMAO. So I finally decided to move, I did break my lease because I was over all the things I went through at the hands of this apartment complex/owners/ect... I had a newborn and it was exhausting to have to go downstairs to let people in who wanted to visit us, because 10 months later, they still hadn’t fixed my doorbell. I agreed to pay the 2 months rent to break the lease. I’m currently combing through documents to find the recording of me talking to the property manager and what our agreement was. I was supposed to pay what would’ve totaled out to about 2200-2300. Mind you she (the new property manager because the old one probably took our rent money and disappeared) had been extremely rude to me for no apparent reason. Tell me why, I call up to their corporate offices to set up a payment arrangement and they tell me I owe them almost $5000. There were “added fees” and they can’t even discern what the fees were exactly and why they were added. There’s so much more to the story but I ran out of characters but it literally gets WORSE. I even called them today. Currently looking into statute of limitations on suing for emotional distress and possible falsification of documents."
"Really disappointed in how they handled the end of the lease. no communication, not even any notice that they needed us to pay some fees. Portal didn't indicate anything was due either. Went straight to collections and won't answer any of our questions about what happened. Disappointed doesn't even begin to describe how I feel about this place. Office staff were nice until move in, then almost no communication. Spare yourselves the headache."
