Reviews of Half Century Apartments
"This is a great place to live, very affordable for a downtown location. The leasing team was very responsive and helpful during my transition to the apartment. If you are looking for a downtown apartment, it is definitely worth a look."
"Wonderful experience living here! Location is unbelievably perfect, and I promise you won’t find cheaper rent anywhere near this close to downtown. Neighbors are great, maintenance requests are filled quicker than you can believe, and everyone that I’ve dealt with in the leasing office has been extremely attentive, friendly and professional. Living here has been a dream!"
"I lived in a studio apartment at this place for a year and absolutely loved it! The rent was reasonably priced for the location, being by all of the restaurants and bars. Overall I would rate this a must stay for anyone looking to live in this safe neighborhood. - Aidan"
"Half Century Apartments is amazing! You really can’t get a better location than this. I thought that living downtown it would be noisier than it is, but the street is actually pretty quiet! While the rent is a little higher than I’d like, I appreciate utilities (except internet) being included in the rent and I feel like it’s worth the price for the location. It definitely beats prices in other areas downtown as well. It’s so close to great restaurants (seriously check them out!), the library, coffee shops, and other attractions. I love that the building is almost 100 years old and has a historic charm. Despite being an older building, I’ve had very few issues. I’ve occasionally had problems with my heat, power, etc, but maintenance has been quick and efficient in fixing them. Kayli and Justin in the Leasing Office are always very kind and helpful as well!"
"These apartments are great. It seems like this building has a few different lay outs for their aparments. We had a garden level apartment and even though it’s a 1 bedroom it was spacious and nicely updated with a huge tiled walk in shower. There was only 1 closet in the apartment in the bedroom but it’s a massive walk in closet so between that and the large item storage/bike room on site we had room for everything we have. We got a couple extra dressers for storage and there were places for those too. I love the feel of the building our apartment had brick walls and concrete floors. There’s a coin laundry room on site and parking available for an extra monthly fee. They are also pet friendly. You also can’t beat the location of these apartments. It’s right down town so you can walk to everything. There’s a pizza place directly next door that has awesome food and they sell pizza by the slice. Other times i would walk over there to grab a pop or water. Other than pizza there’s Thai food, Mediterranean and Chinese right outside the door and Indian around the corner. The options are endless. Our unit also had wall AC and heat units. I know most of them don’t so that was a huge plus. When i first moved in i was nervous about bugs being in the basement level but we never had an issue and only saw 1 spider inside while living here for an entire year. They do preventative spraying and it works very well. The only negative is it’s a little bit noisy with it being an older building and us living in the basement. I never heard any noise from the road but i would hear people sometimes in the lobby. Not enough to be a huge bother but occasionally if someone was running up and down the stairs or slamming the lobby door (it’s an old door so it’s heavy) you can hear it. But overall this place is 5 stars the maintenance and office staff are really friendly and helpful. The only reason we’re moving is to find something with super cheap rent as we’re saving to buy a house. Check this place out!"
