"My experience has been top notch with Appletree Apartments in Sparta. The ladies in the office are amazing. They are quick with responses and up to date with availability. I am moving from across state and I felt very welcomed and cared for."
"This place has gone downhill so much it’s insane. From maintenance and outside services walking in/trying to get in my appartment with no notice 3 times now. Even though it’s specified in my notice to the management as well as on any work order I had put it. Twice I was naked while this happened. Contacted regional management and the same thing happened literally a month later. The place is also now infested with cockroaches. Dispite them spraying on multiple floors multiple times over the past year."
"Looks good outside but the apartments are in much need of refurbishing. Maintenance is iffy taking months to fix something or not fixing it at all. For what is charged for rent it seems like they could afford a maintenance team to fix so many issues for so many people. I like it here but I moved in several months ago and the dishwasher still doesn't work. Not since day one. The staff is friendly and kind. The apartment owners need to step up and spend some money on keeping their tenants satisfied . The owners need to be more involved in keeping things great here. They throw their staff in here and then sit back and take in the money while trying their best to not put any money back into the property."
"I have never lived in an apartment complex before this, so I was extremely nervous before I moved in. But the staff in the office and the “maintenance team” have helped so much to make my family feel welcome. They have resolved any issues that have came up with things being broken or leaking, and for that, I thank them. They’re very friendly and kind and understanding and available and responsive! They also hold events and such for residents to attend so people can get to know their neighbors if they choose to. The apartments are a good size, and built well as I rarely hear my neighbors unless they’re really jamming out on the bass, which is rare but does occur. Most people in my building seem kind. I just wish the amount we pay in rent was comparable to the other two complexes in town. With rent costing so much, I would expect the inside of the apartments to be better updated, such as cabinets and such. They did recently update the common washer and dryer area. The carpet in here looks new, but I’m pretty sure nothing else inside has been updated except maybe the appliances. The cabinet doors “work”, but they’re outdated and most don’t stay closed properly. The linoleum flooring and counter tops could also use an update. The hallways/stairways look horrible as there are parts of stairway railings broken, wall paper hanging off the wall or taped up to stay in place, and the hallways don’t look as though they’re cleaned on a regular basis. Neither Carports nor Garages are included in the rent, and there is a “utility fee” on top of rent that assists the complex to cover water and trash and snow removal, which I was not made aware of until last minute before moving in. It’s was a little confusing at first when pay rent when there are so many things added on. There is a waiting list for a garage, but there are almost always carports available. They hire out a snow plow company from what I’ve seen, and the lawn company takes great care of the grounds. All in all I have enjoyed my first 3 months at this complex, I just wish rent was lower since we are in Sparta and not Grand Rapids, although I also do understand that Sparta is a “hot and growing area”. They have made many improvements to the complex already, so I am sure they will continue to do things that will only improve the community."
"I absolutely love living here!!! It breaks my heart to say we are leaving. Out of all the places we have lived this one is by far our favorite. Unfortunately our rent is over $1000, and we cant afford that. They increased the rent to compete with GR. It doesnt have the amenities as apartments in GR. It was a great place, our neighbors are amazing, friendly, caring, and treat each other like family. With rent being expensive we can't find the money to save for a house. "
