"I was supposed to get my state refund back on February 15th, I get emails of all scanned mail that are supposed to be sent to me. Well my refund wasn’t in there, I called the post office to see what was going on. The first person I talked to was a woman and she was sooooo rude to me, I called a second time and spoke to Buck who was very professional and polite. It’s now February 19th which is understandable because it’s a holiday so no mail. But I still haven’t gotten my refund back yet, it’s been 4 days and on top of that no one can seem to find my specific piece of mail. I’m beyond baffled on how poorly our mail service is."
"My wife and I run a small skincare business and frequently ship out packages. On June 13th between 4-5 pm we dropped off 4 packages into the parcel drop off bin, but only three of the packages were scanned in. After a few days we stopped into the post office to ask to speak with the postmaster to check on the status of the package. Janet told us the postmaster was already gone for the day, but reassured us that it would probably be delivered, that everything was on camera there, and for us to check back in after a week. After a week of no sign of the package we returned to seek counsel with Postmaster Bob. Bob checked on the status of the package and told us it wasn’t scanned in, the area where the packages were dropped off is out of sight of the cameras, and that it must have been lost because the barcode had been damaged thus absolving any postal workers of any wrongdoing, how convenient for them. My wife replied, “Oh okay, so there’s no accountability?” And Bob just said “No.” When we asked about the possibility of postal workers stealing packages he shrugged it off and said that he didn’t think someone would risk losing a $60,000 a year job over a small package. Great investigative work…I guess all my interactions with this place from now on are going to have to be filmed so I have proof that I dropped off the packages with a human being."
"2.8 adverage is being generous. Live shipment was killed by usps. Can't get an answer as to how or why the shipment was delayed and left to die. Postmaster chris was rude and thought giving a number to the distribution center was enough of a consolation. Usps is over priced and lacks the ability to get anything shipped to it's destination in a reasonable period of time."
"If it isn’t lost packages, it’s delayed deliveries. It’s clear they haven’t evolved with the times. I go out of my way now to use any other carrier for items I order and never use them for any shipments I send, ever. I really hope Amazon expands their own delivery fleet nationwide so these guys get the boot!"
"This branch is a joke. Everyone has a condescending attitude towards you regardless of what you are there for. Packages delivered from this post are FREQUENTLY delayed so using tracking is pointless. The delivery personnel are often lazy and make things up to avoid delivering so they don’t have to work late. My recent favorite excuse for not delivering by the promise date was “We attempted to deliver your package at 6:03 pm on December 24, 2018 in PETOSKEY, MI 49770 but could not access the delivery location. We will redeliver on the next business day.” If you saw where I live and how clean and accessible I keep things you’d cringe as much as I did when I read that. I avoid the USPS as much as I can. These people certainly aren’t helping delay their obsolescence."
