Reviews
"Let me preface this review by saying that I never lived here. This review was all about my application process. Back on August 3rd, I called and spoke with Yvonne, the leasing office manager. We had discussed the studio options. They were booked up until November for the large studios, with 2 residents moving out of 2 large studios. After liking what I heard, I did a tour of the apartments. We toured 2 1 bedroom apartments as the studios were unavailable. But that was fine. I did the tour of the 1 bedrooms and they were fine, but i will say the hallway had a very disgusting smell to it. After the tour, I sat in the office with Yvonne and I gave her my contact info, we went over the application, and I was on my way. August 6th, I submitted my application. I had to pay $288 ($250 holding fee + $25 application fee + "convinence fee" for using a CC). This is where things began to get dicey. I went roughly 2 weeks, no word back. I called on August 22nd twice. No answer. I called against on August 23rd, no answer. I called on August 24th and got an answer. I spoke with Yvonne, explained I submitted my application and wondered if she had a chance to look it over. She goes "Oh I havent, but I do want to mention that we are all booked up for the next year." -- I was shocked. I go, "I was told we had multiple studios opening in November, and multiple 1 bedrooms were open" to which she said "Oh I dont know who you spoke with, but they no longer work here." and at this point, im kind of flabbergasted that she didnt remember me. She literally had my phone number... but okay. At the end of the call, she goes "but I can refund you your $250 if you want." which now I'm mad about, since I assumed we had locked in something. I basically blew $300 for nothiong. I told her to let me shop around first, and I did. By this point, another few reviews dropped in for this place. One of which mentioned a black mold problem. that alone convinced me to cancel the application. I called the office and asked for a refund that same afternoon. It is currently September 8th, and I still haven't gotten that $250 back. I cant call because they're conveniently closed on Friday, so I need to wait till Monday. Assuming they answer the phone. If this process was any indication of how they run the business, then not getting in was a blessing."
"It’s honestly not worth giving them your mooney unless it’s your last option. Long Version: cheapest rent for a single person that doesn’t qualify for disability/accessible living apts, but don’t expect much. studios are literally just hotel suites cut in half- my stove is literally half of my kitchen, and my kitchen is half of my apt. it’s the least you can get for the least you can pay. Note; my neighbor has a balcony and we pay the same amount in rent so I think the the building manager is extremely biased. EDIT: This building thinks that it’s priced fairly because it puts unnecessary amenities in. The price would honestly be more worth it if the studios were built with kitchenettes. (Mind you, I live in a ZERO BEDROOM STUDIO). 800$ a month for a kitchen, bathroom, and bed is genuinely excessive. they are not as reasonable as they sound, and the application/holding fees make it impossible to back out before you see the place."
"I would definitely NOT recommend anybody live here if you have African American friends, or are African American yourself. Management will harass you, unlike they have with ANY of your white friends. Also would not recommend children be here, I have saw needles outside, cigarette butts EVERYWHERE. Hallways are always dirty, with almost every light smashed out due to the drunks, and the place smells TERRIBLE."
"Good management and maintenance. There's a reliable emergency maintenance telephone number system in place."
