"Kara was very helpful and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions and got me in to see an apartment and I'll be moving in on March 1st, 2024. Thank you!"
"I lucked out BIG TIME moving here! I took over a lease (sight unseen) when relocating from Las Vegas back to my hometown, Traverse City. The person that I was subleasing from sent many photos and was super descriptive of what to expect - but you still feel a little uneasy taking over a lease without walking the property. I feel like I won the lottery! Bayview townhomes have exceeded my expectations. The clubhouse is GORGEOUS! The pool, the hot tub, and the gym area have all been used repeatedly by myself and my family - I feel like I'm staying at a fun short term vacation rental, but yet I get to call this place my home! We've only been here a month and I'm already getting the paperwork together to renew the lease. Mary Proctor (property manager) is the sweetest, energetic ray of sunshine and always attentive to the tenants needs. The community feels like family and the townhome itself is top quality - the appliances alone have made me giddy to do laundry and cook! (which is unheard of, lol) I love the area too - conveniently close to everything - yet feels like the country with the rolling hills of Elmbrook golf course right next door. I would highly recommend considering moving in - if you haven't signed a lease already."
"I’m so very tired of being basically locked into this place. I signed the lease before this place was built and expected everything to be pretty much done by the time we moved in. Ongoing construction is absolutely ridiculous. Then most recently fleas getting into my apartment. I have a cat and she is indoors at all times the only time she has been out in the world is for vet appointments. And when someone came to check the problem they had the audacity to ask “are you sure there is no way you could’ve brought them in?” And now dealing with this we have bombed the apartment and have taken care of our cat and hasn’t gone away. So clearly coming from the hallway. And yet we get stuck with a $400 bill absolutely ridiculous. Pay outrageous rent for a nice clean community and place to live and because of the construction and everything going on we have swamps forming all around the property and fleas entering the complexes. This is absolutely outrageous and disgusting. If you’re thinking of living in a nice place in traverse go to ridge 45"
"I moved here in March and love my apartment. My apartment was finished and cleaned at the time of move in. The maintenance team came right away to address any concerns that I had. The apartments are high quality and layout was well thought out. Friend's and coworker's have commented on how nice the apartment is when they have visited or have checked out photo's. I can sometimes hear the neighbors on one side of me when they are on their balcony when my windows are open. Otherwise the noise level is great for apartment living. I have never slept better. There is construction happening on-site but I knew that before I signed my lease. It was my choice to live here and I'm planning on being a long term tenant."
"I have lived at Bayview for about 6 months now - I moved here in December of 2022. I started in a very nice 1 bedroom apartment (the kitchens here are AMAZING) and moved into a beautiful new townhome in the same community 2 weeks ago. After reading the other reviews I wanted to comment on some of the concerns that were raised. First - it is obvious when you tour the place that construction is actively going on. Assuming or *hoping* construction would be farther along when you move in is just not realistic. The construction is addressed in the lease which I recommend prospective tenants read before signing. No one loves living around construction but that is the price to pay to live in a new build community. I am personally in the thick of the construction in the last section of the townhomes being built and it is a bit loud during the day (6:30ish am to about 7:00pm) and it is dusty and there is a lot of dirt - because it is being constructed. One of the reasons the construction days are long is because they are hustling to get the build finished. It is also true that there are not many grassy areas for dogs to utilize right now while construction is going on. There are a few grassy spots, and I walk my dogs to those areas several times a day, and they have also learned to use the dirt areas for now. It is not ideal but it is also a short term issue. Also - the community has done a great job of making sure residents clean up after their dogs and there is rarely an issue with that. For anyone who has looked for decent rental options in the TC area - there are not many (housing availability and housing costs in general is a major hot topic in Traverse City), especially new ones that also allow dogs and have high end amenities like broadband, pool, clubhouse, weight/exercise room, etc. The going rate on both the apartments and townhomes is very competitive for the area and they are brand new. The townhomes definitely have less noise (not including construction) and you do not hear the neighbors much unless you are outside on the patios or have your windows open. Regarding concerns voiced about the apartments - apartment living in general is a different experience no matter how nice the community is because there are hallways, stairwells, other people/dogs on each side / above and below you and just more community noise. Dogs will bark when they hear a knock on a door in the hallway. There is definitely a trade off for the lower cost of an apartment vs townhouse or house in relation to noise / privacy / etc. Right now there are actually no apartments available here and there is a waitlist for them - precisely because they are well priced and in a new build community with amenities and allow pets. I have personally found the management (Mary and Joe), maintenance (Nick, Caleb and Jordan) and construction crew (Mark and his crew) that are employed by DTN (the actual company that owns and is building the community) to be very responsive, respectful and helpful. I am personally glad to be here, and I am looking forward to all of the construction and amenities being completed. I plan to stay until I buy or build because it IS a great place to live. Attached photos are from the ranch style townhouse."
