"I rented from them start in April of 2022 until February of 2023 and I wish I never would've rented from them in the first place. We lost heat in the end of January during the negative degrees cold snap, this was also the 3rd time that we had lost heat since id moved there in April. They were unable to get heat on for 2 weeks and we were told as tenants to use space heaters to heat our apartment however the space heaters would trip the breaker after a matter of minutes so rhat was unfortunately not an option and it was also a massive fire hazard to have 9 apartments all running space heaters. I contacted them multiple times after a week with no heat notifying them that I would be terminating my lease & requested my rent back for February that I had paid. After multiple days of no response I had to call the office where Jessica consistently ignored my calls and I was transferred to John Demay. When I relayed the situation to him he laughed at me and said that the conditions were livable and he would not end my lease. When I told him about the space heaters he said that once a day someone was coming to trip the breakers back on and continued to go on about how difficult it was for him to find a repair for the heat. He should have been quicker to fix the problem or provide a solution that actually worked rather than leaving people in a building with no heat and space heaters running constantly. The porch lit on fire over spring and it took them 4 months to fix it, the roof is missing metal shingles and they never fixed it before winter. All around terrible experience and just another slum lord in marquette looking to take as much money for people as they can. The one positive thing I will say is they ended my lease at the beginning of February howvere they refused to give back any of my $1800 security deposit or my $750 rent payment."

"I think they are a great company, that needs to get everything inspected and winterized before renting or selling. They continue to work with us but when our water froze it was up to us to find our family of 4 another place to stay and we still don't have laundry after a month In the middle of Michigan weather February! We have been told if we want that fixed, it will come out of our pocket. The house is poorly insulated, the electric bill for running space heaters in the bedrooms is over rent price! It is defiantly a lot to do with the land owner. But to be a reliable company make sure you have reliable properties. I'm 31 weeks pregnant and cold! Constantly trying to keep my kids and the house warm! My kids have clean laundry, but I'm sorry to say I don't have a clean pair of pants or underwear.... please don't do this to people anymore. Keep your five star rating, right now I don't have one for you."
