"The course is great. What was the opposite of great was the general manager Bob Bales. He accused my boys and two of their friends of leaving scuff marks on a green. As a result, banned them from golfing there ever again. On top of that, he notified the youth on course director and she has notified other courses in the area with our kids names attached. As a parent I was obviously concerned. It turns out nobody actually saw them do it and it could have been any number of players on the course. At worst, this could have been a lesson for the boys along with a warning. (They claim they did nothing) This course manager does not support youth in the game and I hope you support the kids by choosing another course to play."
"Amazing golf course. Views are great on every hole. Tons of challenges for the seasoned golfer, but doesn’t over intimidate the lesser grizzled golfer. Tons of beautiful rides between holes. Great patio for beers after the round!!"
"Hands down the best golf course in the Schoolcraft/Vicksburg/Portage area! The playability of the course is amazing! Wide fairways with grass and sand bunkers spotted strategically through out. Huge undulating greens are inviting and receptive, but super fast! Great driving range and practice green. Golf carts were awesome! Built in GPS with yardages to anywhere on the course. Highly recommend you play 9 or 18!"
"What a great course! Played 9 holes with a 7:15pm tee time. It’s perfectly challenging and perfectly forgiving. Huge greens. It’s the most fun round of golf I’ve played in a while. I also hit a bag of balls. Great golf carts with nice technology. See it for yourself!"
"I would rate course a 3. It was in good shape earlier in the year and very happy they are shaving the faces (except for green side of 15 which has bushes growing that extend into the sand) of the bunkers. However, the bunkers are not consistent, some are soft while most are still rock hard and are small ponds for days after a hard rain. Many of the greens and fairways have multiple sections of dead spots. Several tee boxes, especially par 3s, have little grass to tee off or has crab grass. 75% of the cart paths are so bad, it is better to drive on the grass. Still do not understand the reason why half of the tee boxes have 1 tee marker and other half have 2? It is nice to see the maintenance staff add mulch around a few trees to improve aesthetics, but they are doing very little this year to improve the golfing experience. I rated Creekside Grille a 2. Service was good, but food was less than average. I ordered a burger, which had little flavor and did not come with the slaw, as advertised. The wings were tiny and definitely not worth the money. My wife ordered a rum and coke, which was semi flat. They only have 2 beers on tap, did not have limes for mixed drinks and menu is not as advertised on their website. Only a couple of apps and what seems like 5 different versions of the same burger. Even the waitstaff did not know the difference. I would go into town and eat at Vickers or Hide Away."
