"So it took a minute to find this place. My date and I walked around the block 3 times before we realized it was under a restaurant named "Cornerstone Barrel House". Anyway once we got in I really felt the vibe here. I've never been out dancing before but the music really got me up and moving. It's a small and intimate place perfect for somebody that's not used to hanging out around large crowds like myself. And the dress code is whatever you want to wear. I saw women really dressed up and some people in jeans. They play house music and it's perfect to dance to. Drinks were good. I will be back!"

"Two friends and I walked in, ordered drinks, and opened a tab. It was pretty dead at the bar with two other groups and three bartenders. After about 15 minutes of being ignored we yelled out at a bartender that we wanted shots. She gave us a dirty look and said ok. She then went and tended to every other group and never took our order. At this point we’ve been sitting for 30 minutes with no service. I ask another bartender for drinks and she says “ok give me a minute” and did not take our drink orders. We sat with no drinks as all three bartenders laughed and chatted with the other groups, serving them. We left. Literally refused to serve us and were completely rude for no reason at all. I never leave reviews but I felt completely disrespected and poorly treated here."

"This happened last Saturday. I left my phone on the bar and realized 15 min later, went back to asked the bartender if he had seen it, said he hadent. Thankfuly I had my friend with me and he decided to peek behind the bar anyways. MY PHONE WAS SITTING RIGHT BEHIND THE BAR OUT OF MY LINE OF SIGHT!!!!! He walked around and grabbed it. Bartender yelled at him and had security kick us out. Watch your stuff when you go to this place, most of the staff is out to STEAL it!!! Look at the other reviews on this page, lots of people get ripped off here. BEWHERE!!!!"

"Very impressed, lookin for a late night snack, though they weren't still serving we had some very good brew, the bartender was very pleasant the Cornerstone Barrel part as well as any staff that we came into contact with from the entry on...we also visited the Whiskey Disco which the DJ was on point the vibe was live! WE WILL RETURN! #detroitchic"

"Decent dance venue in the basement level under Cornerstone Barrelhouse. Usually a $5 cover on weekends. The staff is always friendly and drinks are good. This place can get hot and sweaty late at night with little ventilation in the winter months. No elevator available for those with mobility concerns unfortunately."
