River Oaks County Park

"Excellent county park. Beautiful fall colors, groomed trails, lovely scenery. Great children's amenities throughout. Loads of soccer and ball fields as well as a huge off leash dog park for properly licensed doggos!"

"Kalamazoo Thunderbirds held a fun fly at the park RC field. Attendance was over 30 pilots and their guests. Good food was served to all who attended, and everyone enjoyed the sun filled wonderful weather. Great Park, clean and well run."

"Map quest takes you to a business next door, it's also down a long drive so you won't see it. Also note most of the morning busses of daycare? Or preschool kids get dropped off so I'd say the park was over capacity. We went early and on a day that was rainy off n on to avoid people or crowds. Not happening at this park. We stayed about 40 min for this reason and left. We will look for less busy times or a diff place. These were when it first opened."

"This is a wonderful park...great trails a splash pad and everything is well kept up. Bike trails are awesome! Also, there is an RC Airplane Club at the park. Check them out...."

"Lots of room for play even when the parking lot is full. The kids love the splash pad. The playground is great for little ones and big kids. Most of the picinic tables have umbrellas that are in the sunny open area. There are benches around the splash pad and a fence to give parents a chance to catch their little runners. It does cost $5. a day or $25. for a seasonal Kalamazoo County Park pass. Fully functional bathrooms is the icing on top."
