Reviews of Epiphany Kitchens
"We had an amazing experience with Epiphany Kitchens when we remodeled our kitchen. It went from an old drab kitchen designed and built in the mid-60’s to a modern update that fit the home’s styling perfectly. Anthony helped coordinate everything from flooring, to cabinetry to countertops and even appliances. We were always kept up to date on the project and everything went smoothly. If we were to remodel the kitchen in our next home, I know exactly who I would trust to complete the job."
"I really enjoyed working with the people at Epiphany Kitchens. When remodeling our bathroom everyone arrived as scheduled and were sensitive about controlling the dust and debris of the deconstruction needed. Tony was very helpful in product selection. Even though 2 years later there was a problem with an electrical outlet Michael installed the new outlets and also educated me to the process. Great company."
"Jay and the entire team at Epiphany Kitchens were outstanding throughout the entire process. The project Manager, Tony guided us every step of the way. Karol was a truly gifted craftsmen, would not have wanted anyone else. Their crews made every effort to minimize the disruption for us. Quality of the materials and work were all first class. We just hosted Thanksgiving and all our guests could not stop talking about how envious they were about our new kitchen. If you are thinking of a kitchen remodel, we would definitely recommend taking a look at what Epiphany Kitchens can offer."
"We have used Epiphany Kitchens for two projects. Our first project was to update a kitchen, pantry and family room. Ultimately, this became a distinguishing feature when we sold that home. Our second project was to remodel an entire condominium including kitchen, living and dining room, two bedrooms, three bathrooms and laundry room. Tony, Jay and the entire Epiphany team provided expertise in every aspect of our projects, from design through installation. They deliver the highest levels of quality and customer satisfaction and they stand behind their work. We strongly recommend Epiphany and would be pleased to use them again."
"Epiphany's contractors generally did a great job. Whenever we needed something small, such as the demo trailer moved over slightly so we could get in the garage, Raffi was there helping us get things done. We were generally very happy with everything going on with their project. Kevin, their general contractor, and Vance, their drywall/mud contractor, did especially great jobs. Everything was going great up until the tile contractors arrived. They put up all the backsplash tile in one day. When they finished installing the tile (prior to grouting), I looked over the tile and there were numerous mistakes. I have included a small number of pictures in this review. One small section of the wall, done exclusively by the experienced member of the team, was pretty good and error-free. The main backsplash, however, had huge mistakes everywhere. Unevenly spaced tiles, tiles touching each other (i.e. no grout), tiles cut the wrong size, etc. These tiles came in sheets, so the majority of the tiles are evenly spaced, but because the seams between the sheets were not spaced properly, you can see where the sheets abut one another. The tile job not being done correctly was one problem, but the larger problem is what happened next. After immediately calling both Raffi and the head tile contractor, Adam, and texting them photos of the tile issues, I suggested they may want to pull the tile off the wall while the mortar was still soft so the tile job could be redone easily. They assured me that they could fix the tile job when they came back the next day to grout it. As it turns out, when Adam came back to grout it the next day, he repeatedly told me that the mistakes were all in my head, that it looks fine, that all tile jobs look like this. He made a small number of changes to a few individual tiles and then grouted the backsplashes. Adam's grouting job was also poor, as it turns out, and he left voids in the grout and didn't properly wash the tiles, so now our shiny tiles are dulled. We were not happy. I escalated things to Raffi, and told him we were not happy with the tile job. Raffi came out and took a look, and guess what he said? This is what tile jobs look like, this is the best we can do, there's no guarantee that a new job would turn out any better. As someone who dislikes confrontation, this put me in an incredibly stressful position. Clearly Epiphany kitchens was hoping I would just accept the sub-par tile work. At this point, we got the owner, Jay, involved. Jay came out and took a look at the tile job, and again told me that the job was fine. After pointing to the ANSI standard for tile work, reminding him that his experienced tile guy did a pretty decent job on the smaller backsplash (so it *can* be done well), and a few weeks waiting for him to bring another tile contractor out to evaluate, he told me we would have to wait 4 months before he could replace the tile. As we had already been waiting 12 weeks at that point, this was unacceptable. After a lot of stress and back and forth, we finally settled on a refund of the tile job, which is significantly less than would be required to demo, repair, and redo it. If Ephiphany had stood by their customers and helped us rectify this problem, they would have gotten 5 stars. However, the sheer amount of stress this caused us and a kitchen that now requires someone else fix the job means we cannot recommend them, even though the kitchen overall looks great."
