"Just an FYI on how some companies treat their customers. A little over a month ago, my wife and I decided to upgrade our pontoon boat and hoist. We sold the old one and purchased a new larger boat. We were to have it delivered in early May. I needed another hoist because the one for the old boat was too small. After looked around new and used and were coming up with nothing. Some of the dealers were saying it could take 8 or more weeks. I was becoming concerned that we would not be able to find a hoist for the new boat. I withdrew some cash so that if I did see something, I could jump on it right away with cash. On the way up to the lake on Friday April 15th, I decided to stop into MADS (marine automated dock systems) off of 27 in Harrison. They stated that they built the hoists there and could supply the hoist I needed. I signed a purchase agreement and gave them a $1000 cash deposit. They said that they would be calling me with a delivery time. I’m thinking sometime the following week. Kris calls me on Monday and says the won’t be delivering the hoist for at least a couple weeks because the don’t have winches. Never was this mentioned when I laid down the deposit. I said okay, but I have to have the hoist by the 14th of May. My wife called back a wee or later, still no ETA but my wife was told that if we cancel the order, we would receive our entire deposit back. On May 11th, I again spoke to Kris and she stated the winches should be shipped to them this week but couldn’t say for sure what day. I saw someone had a nice lift for sale on Houghton Lake on Sunday May 16th. I went and purchased it Monday morning. I then called MADS back and requested my deposit. They said they would only refund me $900 because of a handling fee. I said that’s BS, but they would not change their position. They basically robbed me of $100 due to their incompetence and failure to inform me of the situation with the winches when I left the deposit. What a dishonest business. I will never recommend anyone to purchase from them...."

"Every contact I have had with this Company from purchasing my dock to the recent purchase of our new Pontoon boat and lift has been top notch...their customer service exceeds expectations and we would not hesitate to use their services for any of our boating needs. Kris, Peanut and the Service Manager (and his team) always go out of their way to make sure we are satisfied."

"Worst company to deal with. They don't know what parts they carry and send you the wrong parts. Even though they know they sent you the wrong parts they refuse to get the right parts out to you in a timely manner. Wants us to ship the wrong ones back and then wait for them to get back before they will send you the right parts. Kris is incompetent and not understanding even though she knows she sent the wrong parts out. This is the second time they sent the wrong parts out to us. Will never deal with them again. Don't waste your time or money dealing with people that don't know how to run a business. Can't talk to anybody in charge because Kris knows she screwed up and won't deal with her mistakes."
