"I am not catholic but this really gave me pause and I definitely felt humbled. It is a beautiful work. The setting is peaceful and spiritual. The cross walk made you mindful of the suffering of Christ. Plenty of parking. It’s free to enter but there are places you can donate."
"Beautiful church and outdoor areas. Cool museum with nuns outfits from all over. I wish we would have been here to attend one of the outdoor masses."
"Always a beautiful visit! I have made a special trip at least once a year for many years now. Very welcoming atmosphere. The grounds and buildings are always in wonderful condition, the ladies in the gift shop are always pleasant to interact with. One of my favorite places in Michigan ❤️"
"We enjoy this shrine. There is a doll museum and other interesting artifacts and stories inside. But the best part is walking up to the crucifix and walking and praying through the garden. It’s a beautiful and serene place where my family will visit every year."
"Cross in the Woods is a lovely and relaxing place for contemplation and prayer. There were winding paths through a beautiful wooded area with various shrines to different saints. You could also follow a path to contemplate upon the Stations of the Cross. At the center of this place, stands a gigantic cross with Christ upon it, reminding us of sacrifice, love, and grace. It was a very peaceful place, even with many people visiting."
