"Great golf course, Great food, employee's seem happy to be able to accommodate your needs coming back this year!"
"Just finished a golf weekend with 16 guys and we couldn't be happier with our experience at Loon Golf Resort! 3 beautiful courses, great accommodations, amazing service from ALL staff from the check-in receptionist to the restaurant staff, to the grounds keepers to Ron, our shuttle guy! Everything was well organized from our rooms, to the very prompt shuttle, to the golf carts, to the restaurant. Just one small example... I brought a 6' inflatable palm tree to place in the fairway to run a 'Most Accurate Drive' challenge for the group. Well it wasn't a good enough base to support the tree so it had fallen before I had a chance to return to the tee box to tee off. A groundskeeper who was mowing the lawn got off the mower, grabbed a rake from the nearby bunk er and ran over to the tree to prop it up properly!!! Things like that are very small but super appreciated! Only small concerns that I'd like to see improved by the course/resort... 1- pin location (either a small flag on the pin or different colored flags to show where the pin is) 2- spike cleaners (maybe I missed seeing them but it'd be nice to have some at least after the 18th hole) 3- hard water/hint of sulphur (not sure if they're working from a well but it was hard to rinse off in the shower / drinkable, but not desirable, from the faucet) Overall, this place was the best our group has experienced for a guys golf weekend and we are excited to return again next year!!"
"Very nice staff, overall nice facility. We did not enjoy the golf course, very narrow driving holes and every hole has significant doglegs. My wife played the forward tees, several holes were quite long and unreachable in regulation for her."
"It's a good resort - I'd say it's a step below the nicer resorts in Michigan but for the Group Golfer deal we all purchased as group of 8 it was a good value. We played all three courses - Loon, Ridge and Lakes - Lakes was by far our favorite - Ridge was fun too but very very tight fairways and lots of par 3s with forced carries so I would not recommend Ridge course for a newer player, Loon was a more balanced course that everyone in group enjoyed and felt was more playable. The lodging could be updated we stayed in Copenhagen and it's a bit dated, the shower with the weird wood sliding doors to the room and having double shower curtains was strange and smelled a little musty, but for a night to sleep it was OK. Staff were very welcoming and had a great breakfast buffet."
"Townhouses could be updated a bit. Beds have no headboards so need a lot of pillows and we only had 2. But everyone was very helpful even though the city experienced a power loss for a few hours. Food is very good in the clubhouse. Love golfing the Lakes, one of my favorite courses, and the Loon."
