"I've visited 3 times. Each time camping on islands(Basswood once and York twice) Reserve your campsites as early as you can. Prices are great. Making it to the islands can be difficult. I was lucky with wonderful weather each time. August is a good bet."
"Amazingly beautiful. Pictures don't do it justice. We went after a rain and the boardwalk was a little slippery but manageable."
"Breathtakingly beautiful. We spend almost every weekend on our sailboat in the islands and it feels like there is always something new to explore. The lighthouse tours are all wonderfully educational. Also, highly recommend the fish camp on Manitou Island. August is the best month for swimming as the water is at its peak warmth."
"Great lake views on the out and back hike, although not as nice as Pictured Rocks. Probably a park best experienced by boat or kayak."
"We took the cruise form Bayfield. It offered sweeping views of the islands, the Light house and Lake Superior. Personally, we felt the cruise duration was a bit longer. We went on a Sunny day and were quite exhausted by the end of the cruise. Nevertheless, the views were stunning!"
