Walgreens Pharmacy 108 West Wall Street, Eagle River, WI 54521

"Not impressed at all!! I spoke with them about if they would be able to handle my prescriptions before I moved to the area. And they had said yes. Well unfortunately now I'm here and its been a month from hell dealing with them. I now seem to have co-pays for drugs that were covered by insurance that I never had before moving to the area. And the other co-pays are considerably higher than they were a month ago as well. They claimed something changed at the 1st of the year. Except the insurance company says that never happened. I also asked about a Specific brand needed for one of my prescriptions and was told that wouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately for me apparently now it is. I was told if I hold out for 2 days I would be able to get. Wrong Again!!! But they waited the extra days to tell me. In the mean time I'm out of it. So now its wait longer and hope or take something different that you know is not going to work. Sad part is there are very few options in the area so they can screw you if they want to. None of it's been a very good 1st time welcoming I believe we have your customer service because now we're gonna bend you over and screw you. And I wouldn't be considered a small time customer either. I had many prescriptions. Also Their customer service need serious improvement they're not very nice to people."

"How much longer before the pharmacy has a self checkout with machines that fill and dispense prescriptions? It's working great elsewhere and the machines don't have bad attitudes or give lame excuses as to why they can't do their job correctly. If the machine fails, it's easy to replace. No shortage of machines, big shortage of people who have the capacity to do what the machine can. The machines don't look down on people or have bad social etiquette either. Walgreens is merely a convenience store with a cyst the size of a pharmacy attached to it."

"They convinced me I needed a prescription with a $400 co-pay. One call to my doctor could have saved about 90% of the cost by substituting a generic. I tried to return the drugs unopened but they refused. They didn't do anything illegal in filling the prescription but they certainly didn't help either. I had never refilled a prescription before and didn't realize there were scams to be aware of. A hint would have been helpful."
