"Easy 3+ hour float. Scenic and slow river. Bring your own ropes/straps to connect your cooler tube (and probably your whole group) together. Water was surprisingly warm. Good tubes and quick pickup at the end."

"Our campsite was very nice for our 28 airstream. The river view is awesome! Highway 51 settles down at night. The main lobby is beautiful and very rustic looking. Our host Chris was exceptionally accommodating and kept us busy with canoes on the Manitowish river and e bikes on an incredible Vilas county paved bike trail system! Everyone there was friendly and helpful. A must do again for us!"

"It was fun kayaking down the river, in very mild waters, which was great for beginners. We were a group of 9 and they were punctual and accommodating with us. From the launch area, there are pitstops every mile and we did 2 miles in 2 hours, and you can go down another mile to the next pitstop but our hands, butts and backs were feeling sore. I would recommend it!"

"We took a double kayak from the lodge to the first take out point (~1 hour downstream); we would have gone to the second (2-3 hours) but a storm was coming in. It was a great beginner route, the river views were stunning. The service was excellent, they had the boat ready to go at the launch, they picked us up at the take out point 5 minutes after we called for pickup. They also have a nice selection of craft beer at the lodge. We will definitely rent here again on our next trip."
