"Without a doubt Dr. Joseph is a good orthodontist. Things started out great. But his schedule & my work schedule often conflicts. One day, after about a year of braces and no prior knowledge, I had no choice but to see the new orthodontist. Wasnt happy about it but gave it a shot because everyone is new at some point right? Well, Dr. Joseph had to correct every adjustment the newer doctor has made. Recently, I was so excited for my appt to get my braces removed after almost 3 years but nope! The pandemic delay was bad enough but to be set back by an alternate orthodontist is unacceptable. I've had braces before & both orthodontists were always on the same page, there was no matter of opinion. I can deal with absurd issues like a staff member who made a mistake & could never shake their rude attitude toward me after I advised their supervisor but I cannot deal with counter productivity. I don't get the opportunity to express concerns as the office is small, busy, no privacy...as of lately I get voicemail when calling. I hope this is reviewed by the staff. The constructive criticism is over due. The staff is mostly nice but the office lacks professionalism. At this time I cannot refer anyone to the Sfld office. I reiterate, Dr Joseph knows his stuff! But this whole process has been a headache. My time is valuable and gas is expensive."

"They’re unprofessional. Every time I schedule appointments I would come at that time, but wouldn’t get in the chair until 45 minutes or an hour 30 later. Then they charge you 40 dollars for missing the appointments if you leave, people have lives and plans but yet you get charge for they lack of working. Never seen a business so unorganized and unprofessional!! If you can’t get people on they appointment times have time gaps instead of wasting people time. Then again if they work as much as they talk and sit their business would move wayyy smoother. You can’t have a business and have 1-2 people working and it’s 5 people talking and 3 people sitting in the office. I would recommend looking for somewhere else that’s more professional. (I went to the one in Detroit btw, So I’m speaking from my experience there not in Southfield.)"

"I’ve been seeing Dr. J since I was a kid, and now he’s my daughters orthodontist. The staff is always nice and accommodating. He’s had the same staff since I was going in my teens (I’m 35 now). When I got my braces on as a teen I had my braces for 11 months total and no my teeth weren’t in the best shape. Most of the people complaining about having braces after a certain amount of time I can bet still has a bill or wasn’t doing what they were supposed to as far as care. I never missed an appointment and never had any issues getting one. He does have two offices where he splits his time and staff between the two. Most times if you can’t get an appointment at the Southfield location they will give you an option to go to the East side location if you can’t wait. He does have a large clientele so I know our visits will be about an hour or more. If I ever had an issue after a visit it was rectified ASAP. My daughter loves this office and they treat us both like family. Dr. J is by far one of the best orthodontist around."

"I finished my treatment about 2 years ago but the process was a bad but not terrible experience. The Dr. kept pushing back the date I was supposed to get my bands taken off. He would take his time in the beginning but once you pay all of your bill he will rush your treatment and have you thinking you are about to get your braces. Then when my due date came and I asked him when they will be off he told me I was not done with my treatment yet. Why did he have me waste gas coming to appointments every two weeks if they were not coming off soon? Most of those two week appointments he barely changed anything on my braces and when he did it was little stuff. He did most of the work on my braces in the first year and the last month. Due to all the clients at this office they do not have a lot of appointment times open so you have to take whatever they available. I was given appointments that did not fit in with my work schedule and on numerous occasions I barely got to work on time. On a busy day it can take 30 minutes to maybe an hour before you are seen. Sometimes there is no where to sit in the waiting room due to the fact his other clients brought their friends, other family members and/or all their children into the office. The waiting should only be for clients and maybe other person."
