"I only go here because it's the closest store but hardly the most convenient. Frequently long lines are one thing, but today, a female cashier in a pink coat charged me for an item she then didn't even give me during bagging. This was just after I had to listen to her complain to her own manager about *another* customer who had some pricing and checkout issue with her. When I went back for my groceries, this same cashier blamed me for walking out too fast. Maybe if they weren't in the store complaining like it's happy hour and were actually paying attention to customers and store prices, these mix-ups wouldn't happen. Especially one customer right after the next. Go somewhere else. Dollar Tree is just a few more minutes down Nine Mile anyway."
"I don't know what it is, but I find that being attentive to your customers is great customer service. I walked in here today the vibe was great. The young lady working greeted me with a hello and welcome to family dollar. I'm like ok, that's what I like to hear. So, I started my little shopping which took no longer than 10 minutes. I waited a little longer than I anticipated when checking out. So, when I finally got to the register, the young man at the counter was more in tuned into his phone than checking me out. Now, I see why it took longer, smh. I had to wait until he got done texting who he was texting and right after he did that he made a phone call. Instead of him greeting me and seeing if I found everything ok, his attention was more focused on that person he was on the phone with. These companies need to be more strict on their employees about their cellphone usage when at work. When a customer is present your cellphone should not be in your hand PERIOD!!!! My money is paying for these individuals pay check and to be treated like I don't exist (or a non factor) doesn't sit well with my soul. Call me old school but I'm BIG on customer service. I've worked at many big chain companies and I will never consider or being caught having a cellphone in my hand when a customer approach my register or in my vinicity. I find that to be very rude. I hope the owner/store manager of this location see this so they can educate and trained their employees to be more vigilant of their customers and get their faces out their cellphones. It's a time and a place for that and at work is not one of them."
"Verbiage is excellent! Polite and friendly! Give her a raise!!!"
"I went to this location yesterday Wednesday August 9th l don't see how this store can be open at all they had most a lot of shelves empty plus the outside of the store is just plain old nasty filthy all thoses store over there enasty filthy outside owners and manager need to hire someone to keep there property clean no lm not going back over there for what l had to go to another estate which is on 9mile d Coolidge clean and have everything there"
"I love family dollar. I go several times weekly. They are always stocked, and have everything I need when I go and at very reasonable prices. My only complaint is this one nasty, rude cashier. She's the first thing you see when you walk in and carries a horrible frown, smart mouth, and nasty attitude. I have considered not returning, but she's not worth that type of inconvenience for me."
