Comprehensive Dental Care

"Unfortunately, under the new ownership of Comprehensive Dental Care, my family has had nothing but problems with their management. We loved the previous owner, Dr Lambert, and my entire family saw him for many years. During and after the transition to the current owners, we've had nothing but headaches from the office. We all switched to a different dental office right away, and even almost all of their hygienists left as well. As far as we knew, our accounts were closed there and didn't think twice about leaving that practice. Fast forward to the Summer and Fall of 2023... We started receiving calls from the new Comprehensive Dental Care saying we owed them money for a 5 minute procedure (frenulectomy) that was performed a couple years prior, under Dr Lambert. At the time of said procedure, an agreement had been reached, and we did not have a balance. Additionally, we did pay our "patient responsibility" on the date of service. Anything outside of our estimated patient charge was to be forgiven/wrote off. However, the new management deemed our account as past due long after we were no longer patients. By this time, our insurance wanted nothing to do with services provided as those procedure codes were no longer considered covered. To us, this was a surprise bill. We've always kept our medical and dental bills paid and current. But, we felt hoodwinked and taken advantage of. The story does not end there. Next thing ya know, a collections agency was reaching out demanding payment plus penalty charges. We of course submitted a physical dispute letter and requested an array of documentation and proof of several things. In Dec 2023, this collection agency mailed us only a small fraction of the documentation we requested to proceed, and nothing more than what Comprehensive Dental Care sent us. Not even a letter was included in this paperwork! We assumed they must be collecting more information... Oh but wait, there's more. This week, Feb 2024, a LAW office reaches out to request payment on this matter--- DOUBLE the price of the original bill! We're flabbergasted! Enough is enough! I offered to settle this with them and just pay what the insurance's contracted rate is for this procedure; just to end this charade. But, no. The law office refused to settle and insisted multiple times that we must want to go to court! We are absolutely disheartened by all of this. We feel we were surprise billed. We feel the way this matter has been handled by the new management has teetered on unethical billing practices. We are not the only clients having surprise financial challenges with the current management. Do your research."

"Fluoride swishes given at $35.00 each but was not notified of this ahead of time. After that on next visit I asked for services that were only covered under insurance. I was very firm about that. I referred my fiancee. He arrived for his appointment and they refused to see him because they said I owed them money. Never received anything saying I owed them and if I had they would have heard from me. He had a terrible infection and could have died. The dentist he got in to was not happy that they turned him away in his condition. I tried to speak to the office and was told they do not have an office manager for me to speak with. I tried to explain what I just wrote and the girl who answers the phone told me she didn’t have to listen to it and hung up on me. I called back and another girl answered the phone and said I would need to talk to their corporate office but could not provide me with a phone number. She gave me an email address instead After these experiences I highly recommend staying away from this place."

Completely explained all expenses and insurance and went into detail on The procedure they were going to do . And the steps they were going to take to achieve My dental health. "Our first visit to this facility was phenomenal! The staff were the absolute best! They were very accommodating to us.. The staff also worked together like a well oiled machine to get everything taken care of and they did so in a timely manner. This made us (especially my mother) feel extremely comfortable and happy that we chose this facility. The entire staff were very thorough and my mom said this will be her Dentist going forward because she loved it there!! My son and I totally agree. We found them to be very professional, very cordial and very helpful from the very first phone call to set up the appointment all the way through to the end of our visit. Kudos to the entire staff."
