"We haven’t finished our stay yet but I feel like someone needs to clear up these bad reviews. I booked with Erik on air bnb and before arriving read numerous negative reviews. However once we arrived Erik was kind, funny, and organized. He clearly outlined rules against smoking and partying and if I had to guess, most of the negative reviews for this location are from guests who did not follow his guidelines. We are still in our stay and are thrilled with how it’s going so far. DO NOT BELIEVE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. Give this place and Erik a chance and you will without a doubt be pleasantly surprised."

"SCAM. DO NOT BOOK. Con artist. Scammer. Do not book here. Reserved on Airbnb and couldn’t believe how shady the place was when we got there. Made us stand in the rain for 15 minutes before letting us in. Asked for a deposit outside of the app which you’re not supposed to do. Wouldn’t let us in the room we’d already paid for without a copy of our credit card which we’ve froze and will be ordering another. Sticks his fingers in your face and screams very loud when speaking to you. Very rude. Room was horrendous. The owner Erik is truly a hospitality nightmare. You’re in the wrong business brother. Left the moment we saw the place from the inside. Out of my 500 I paid for a few days I received 250 back. Spent no more than 20 minutes in there before leaving."

"WORST ever experience!! The HOST Eric is a Con man he literally loots people! PLEASE BEWARE, he just looking for some reason to kick you out and doesn’t even return the deposit and the money. First he didn’t let us book from Air BnB and asked us to pay in cash. And then randomly barges into the room saying you’re out! Thank God my husband didn’t fall for his random statements and we stayed but then in the end he told that the deposit will be returned in a day or 2, so when we called he said “shut up I don’t owe you anything” Also on air bnb it says that the apt has amenities but NO WE DIDNT have any pots or pans just 2 plates and a bowl had to get everything since we had a stay for a month. The laundry IS ALWAYS LOCKED!! you can’t do anything but wait for him to come and open it up and we’ll he NEVER comes to the building except when he has to check someone in."

"Very nice Modern Hotel. Has a kitchenette, refrigerator, flat screen TV, updated modern bathroom. Very quiet area, with a few mom and pop shops nearby. The staff member that I met to check in was very professional, and helpful. I would most definitely stay here again, especially because the price it's really nice for what I got."

"This is a lovely little place with all the amenities you would need.The room was furnished nicely with a very large closet. The heat worked well too. I would say though, that it needs curtains instead of blinds. I like it dark when I sleep and the lights in the park seeped right in the blinds. The price was excellent for the clean and well put-together room we had. I was worried about leaving our car parked out on the street, but really the neighborhood was not as scary as it looked when we came in at 10pm. Right down the street is a grocery store so you can put the kitchen in the room to use. There is no front desk but the man I spoke with was very friendly and very helpful. Super close to downtown Detroit, but a very good price. I am planning to stay her next time we come to Detroit."
