"My husband and I hosted our annual US Army reunion (#53!) at Elephant Walk resort. We filled all the space but found a comfortable, welcoming space for all. Our friends could not quit commenting on how lovely the place was and how ideal the setting. We enjoyed days in the area with shops, breweries, and wineries and evening around a lovely fire in the backyard! Also, there were elephants! Elephants in the yard, elephants in the house and cottages, elephants everywhere! Loved it. We will return as individuals as well as a group at some point. This is a great place and the owners are so very helpful and responsive. I recommend it very highly! Do visit."
"We really enjoyed our stay at Elephant Walk this past July. It is our second time staying there. We rented the main house and cottages 1 & 2. We enjoy the screened-in porch with the big dining table. Adding the round table and chairs that are also on the porch, our party of almost 20 people were able to sit down to dinner together every night. The kids in our group ate lunch at the “breakfast bar” in the kitchen on most days. There are so many stools at that long counter which is so convenient. We also love the spacious bedrooms on the second floor of the main house and the comfortable beds. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner every night for our big group. Bowls, baking sheets, pans, knives, spatulas, plenty of table settings, they have it all. We also appreciated the abundance of beach chairs they have available. It was really nice not to have to pack our own. The outdoor space is really nice with a big yard, hot tub, and fire pit. We enjoyed getting to know the families renting the other cottages, but we also had plenty of privacy and space of our own, a really nice combination. The short walk to the beach was nice. We also enjoyed the easy walk to coffee, sandwiches, and dessert. The checking in and checking out processes went smoothly. Clean up routine on check out day is an easy lift, very manageable. Erica and Freddy had clear communication and were easy to reach during planning. They are a pleasure to work with. Finally, we were really happy to be able to bring our dog. It is a dog-friendly vacation home that is also in excellent condition. A rare find!"
"Elephant Walk was great! Our group was18 people, aged 7 - 72 and everyone loved the house, the yard, and the beach! This is the second time we've stayed at Elephant Walk (we stayed with my wife's side of the family a couple of years ago) and one thing we love is how flexible it is. For this trip we used the main house and two cottages, next time we may graduate up to 3 cottages. We also had really good experiences with the folks using the other cottages. Everyone was really friendly and fun to get to know, but there is also private space for each cottage and house and so it didn't feel like we were on top of each other at all, even though almost everyone was outside much of the time. The house and cottages were recently remodeled and are in great shape. The rooms are big and spacious, the beds were comfortable (not always the case at a rental), and the bathrooms were clean. The kitchens are well stocked with plates, silverware, cups, and everything needed to make all your meals at the cottage (which is what we did). We loved eating on the screened in porch! We will definitely go back!"
"We rented the entire complex for our family reunion. It is a lovely place about 1 block from a really nice beach. The complex is clean and well-stocked with kitchen stuff, toys, games, etc. The owners are very nice and easy to work with. Erica got back to me right away on questions and concerns. They continue to make improvements. This was our 3rd time there and we hope to return again!"
"We came on the last day of July for a week with our family. This was our first time visit to Union Pier and Elephant Walk. We were very pleased to find in this time of Covid-19 that people consistently wore masks in stores and maintained social distance outside and generally on the beach. We stayed at the big house with our family of 6 adults, a 5 and 8 year old and a just turned one year old. Having seen pictures online we were still surprised to see that the house was so big and nice inside, enough living space for anyone to find privacy if they wanted. Immediately noted was that it had been super cleaned for new guests and we felt comfortable using all the facilities. Not only was there room for all of us around the dining room table but there was also a dining table in the spacious screened in porch where we ate many meals. Bedrooms were all large and the master bedroom and bathroom huge. One surprise was a game room with a ping pong table. We made use of the hot tub outside as well as the fire pit and Weber grill, all reserved just for those staying in the big house. Although there was other cottages on the property, the spacious "backyard" resulted in plenty of space for the kids to play. Our friendly hosts were easily available by phone or text and supplied a great deal of information by email before we arrived. I hope we can have our little family get together again at Elephant Walk soon."
