"I had purchased some shutters for a patio door. Within a few years the one side came off and I cannot move them fully in order to close them. I called and left three messages recently and not received a return call. Their voice mail states they are open by appt only and are only doing window treatments at this time. I am now looking for another company to do the repairs. I am disappointed with this company. The very least I should have received a return call. Stephanie White"
"Unfortunately, I thought MC interiors was the only game in town. I needed some blinds and potentially drapes for a wall of windows facing the lake. Because of Covid, they are operating by appt only. I arrived at my appointed time with my mask on. Doors were locked. I knocked and the door and could see the owner sitting at his desk and he just waved to me. I stayed by the door until he walked and said, “Can I help you?” I reminded him of our appt. He let me in. The only lights on in the place were over he and his wife’s desks. So, I’m trying to pick out blinds and material for drapes (which he told me would be expensive!) in the dark. I left after picking out a few things and he said he would come out to measure the following week. During the week, I obtained another quote for the same job from another company. She came to my house, was very pleasant and we had the deal done in an hour. I cancelled my appt with MC interior and told him I decided to go with someone else. To my surprise, he called me the next day. He was very rude and asked who I decided to go with. I explained I wasn’t going to get into that with him and thanked for his time. He asked me if I was related to someone with my same last name. I said no, and HE HUNG UP ON ME! I have never been treated so rudely by anyone much less someone I was going to spend thousands of dollars with. There show room is old and outdated. I hope someone realizes the market in Michigan City deserves some new blood. MC Interiors are past their prime."
"I walked in this store 15 years ago and asked about prices (I still think about the interaction today). I would inquire the cost of blinds in the store and the owner would only reply "you cant afford them". I laughed the first time he said it, but soon realized he wasnt going to tell me because he honestly believed I couldnt afford them. The ironic thing is I couldnt afford them. Today, we own two houses in the area and can afford new blinds. We are pricing right now, and this guy is so out. We own 3 Business's in this area now and I can not even imagine treating a customer the way this guy treated me. Stripes on zebra do not go away. I cant imagine this guy being any different....For 15 years I have been sharing this story, and I gladly share it today."

"Purchased $6500 worth of draperies, rods etc in June 2015. Told order would arrive in three weeks. Called several times multiple excuses, went to their shop never anyone there even though place was open. Finally late August I told them to bring what they had. They show up with one Roman shade made of the wrong material that looked like a pillowcase, one set of pinch pleated sheers which didnt look custom made and one double traverse rod. We didn't see more of the order but they told us the entire order had to be redone because the drapes were not made for double hung?? This is now September still no drapes. We asked for a refund. They initially said no, so our attorney said to write a certified letter as a first step prior to involving him. We finally got our 1000 deposit back. The owner initially told us to keep the product delivered so we bagged it up and put it in storage. In Jan 2016 he called and asked for the items back, so we returned them to their shop in Feb. ofcourse no one was around so we just layed the items down and left. NOW they are suing us for 690 because they say we didnt return the items? It's been a nightmare dealing with these people. Avoid at all cost!"
