"I just read skip’s last review and it inspired me to write a review that I’ve been promising him for about 15 years. the first car I bought from skip was a beautiful Chrysler town and country all leather drop down two screens DVD ,rode like a dream. Had it forever. Then I bought my daughters first car from skip from a lady who turned it into him who is 81 years old and had bought it from him 30 years before. my daughter loved that little sunbird . then my other daughter bought a car from a dude, who had the exact volkswagon that she wanted but turned out to be possibly possessed and skip helped us to trade it in and find a car that did not puke green, which she still has to this day a black 2010 Mazda, RX all leather . I eventually sold the Chrysler and got a beautiful Subaru Outback from skip and my daughter who bought the sunbird also bought a Subaru. my wife who drove Hondas for years bought a 2017 Toyota hybrid Camry, beautiful blue color loaded. All of these cars are on the road today. Go talk to skip if you want a guy who stands behind his cars and knows and I mean knows how to buy good ones so you’ll come back like we did"

"If your looking for a used car give Skip a call at Tri County Motor sales. I've never met a more professional salesman that won't feed you full of Bulls#$% just to make a sale. I did research on the car I planned to purchase and told Skip my concerns and he listened without interrupting and allowed me time to test drive and put good thought into my decision without being pushy. "In short, I highly recommend Skip and Tri County Motor Sales. One year ago today my wife an I decided to drive well outside of our normal radius in car searching to look at a Subaru Outback. We'd come up short on options from Subaru dealers in Lansing and Grand Rapids and were starting to think maybe we should widen our vehicle choices. In a quick phone conversation I found Skip to be both easy to communicate with, and willing to stay open late to fit our schedule, off we went. In 25 minutes on his lot, we learned as much about Outback's from Skip than we had in our previous research and dealership visits combined. Despite being priced much more aggressively than others at other dealerships we'd looked at, the vehicle was a few years newer than our target and therefore still above our price range. Skip showed us quite openly where he was at on the vehicle and why he couldn't go any lower (as I said it was aggressively priced), but worked with us to find financing that satisfied out goals. When it appeared to us that the break's discs might have issues Skip was willing to cover the labor if we purchased the discs, but suggested we give it a third week to smooth out as the car had sat on his lot in pretty nasty weather for some time before we bought it. The vehicle was sold used, as is, and Skip had no obligation to cover anything, so this seemed more than fair to me. As it turned out they smoothed out within that 3rd week and are still in good shape as of our last checkup a few moths ago (nearly a year after purchase). Skip was direct and honest to work with. He has extensive understanding of vehicle financing as well as Subaru Outbacks (and presumably other vehicles he deals with). I'm writing this review today because I forgot to 11-months ago and looking up Skips number today for my next purchase (new truck) reminded me that I hadn't done so. In 20 years of buying vehicles I cannot recall a better shopping experience with a better outcome and I'm banking on another good round coming up."
