Reviews of Swan Import Auto Service & Sales
"Ali and John offer excellent work at a fair price! They are honest and trustworthy and I will continue to take my Infiniti back to them whenever I need work done! Thanks guys!!"
"The gentleman are very very nice here and I trust them with my car and believe the work is good. I give them 4 stars because they charged me for an additional service that I did not approve....I should have said something to them but it is not my style to make a scene. All costs and services should be discussed with the customer before any work is to be done."
"Personally had the worst car buying experience of my life. I puchesed a car from swan, great deal, had a newly tuned up engine and was very clean in and out. The car checked out with my mechanic and ran beautifully for a month. Less than a week later the car had burned though almost 4 quarts of oil and shut down on me. I of course brought it back to Swan and asked them to go though the engine and figure out what went wrong. It took two weeks for them to look at my car and call me back. When I received the call Swan stated that the car is old and burns through oil at a high rate. Then went to say it was my fault for not checking and topping off the oil. I said, if this was a known problem with the car it should have been stated before I bought the car, and if it was, I wouldn’t have bought the car in the first place. It burnt through all its oil and I’m still 2 months out before my first oil change, and haven’t drove the car a lot! (the car that I bought, at high mileage, and with an engine that is not maintained, can burn up to one quart of oil every 1,000 miles) I asked if he went thought the car. He informed me that they did not go though the engine, and once again said I was at fault. He then stated that the engine was already out of my car and gone, they bought a new engine to put in my car, and it was going to be 4,000 to for the new engine and labor. I was very upset, felt I was not getting proper service, and felt I was being lied to. I informed Shaw that if they can not give me a diagnosis on my old engine then I expected a new or used engine to be put in my car free of charge. Swan felt they were not at fault and refused to do so. At this point I felt small claims court was my only option. I contacted my lawyer, he felt I had a strong case, so I told Swan my lawyer would be in touch with them. As soon as my lawyer sent a letter, Swan called me and offered to split the cost of putting in a new engine. I refused, but after some negotiations ( and the realization on how expensive small claims court is) I agreed to pay for the brand new engine if they covered parts and labor. I get a new engine, and they fix their mistake. The car was fixed and I am happy with the outcome. But was definitely not worth the hassle or the time. I do believe Swan has some good mechanics, my car is running well now. But personally had a huge headache dealing with ownership over this problem and feel if I did not threaten small claims the problem would have never been fixed."
"We've been taking cars for service and buying cars from Ali at Swan for over 10 years. Amazing individualized attention, service and fair prices. It's nice to have a local business that is not only knowledgeable but doesn't take advantage or give you the run around like a lot of dealerships. 5 Stars. Highly recommended."
"Bought a car there several weeks ago. The airbag light was on and I discussed this with the owner. He told me that he had a used airbag computer on another car. I was told that if the other air bag computer was working he would send it to me. It has been almost 3 weeks. I have sent 3 emails without any response. I wish he just told me that he was not going to do it at begining and would just have given me a better price on the car."
