"What a mistake! No clue on timeline on when the vehicle will be ready told me they were putting in a new torque converter had to call to find out that it was getting rebuilt. Not offering any discount for the difference. Trying to find out when they’re even open or available since they seem to shut their phones off at random times not listed on the website. Such a waste of time and so unfortunate that I put my faith in them. Do not have your vehicle serviced here!"
"Best auto service I've received since I started driving. I've had about 4 cars already in life so, as you can imagine, I've dealt with so many mechanics. I've had incidents where a mechanic would "help" me and then I'd find out from my dad that they actually played and overcharged me. The thing I love most about Troy Transmissions is that their staff is HONEST and FAIR. My top two requirements for my mechanic. I never go to anyone else and I've never regretted the decision."
"Went there to get my transmission rebuilt because a friend I knew worked there. The receptionist which is the wife of the owner, when I called a week later to see if my van was done, she told me they ran into a problem and the radiator busted so I asked them where they going to fix it because it broke in their possession and she said no it would be around another $700 to get that fixed. And I caught her up in a lie because I said I was coming to pick up my van they said nobody touched it with a wrench yet, however when I said I was coming to pick it up because nobody touched it and I would take it somewhere else they told me the transmission was already out and ready to go back it so I asked her if I buy the radiator would they put it in she disagreed and said they had to use their parts and get their own radiator and it would be $700. So the next couple of days I went to pick up the van they pulled it out of the yard and did not ever test drive it with the radiator running. Now two years later the warranty is expired and I would not bring it back there to get it checked out after I had the radiator replaced because I was afraid that they would mess up something else and now the transmission is slipping I have several codes that I will upload the pages later and even when I agreed to pay the $700 for them to put the radiator in the lady at the front desk disagreed because she had a problem with me because I caught her up in her lies and said that they would not fix it I had to have my van Towed home which cost me another $150 and left without my car even running.Don’t ever go to the shop they were terrible it was a rude experience and needless to say now I have thousands of dollars of work to get done at another shop which I can trust"
"I came in recently due to an issue with my 2017 ford escape transmission. I previously had the vehicle towed into Elder Ford and after being unsatisfied with their quotes, I figured I'd give them a try. Not only were we able to take care of the issue at a significantly reduced cost, but we were also able to to entirely replace the transmission with a used one rather than rebuilding the current. I don't write reviews ever but I felt that Mike, the owner of the shop, and his wife Darlene took great care of me. I actually felt like they truly wanted to help me and they did. As I stated before, I do not normally write reviews but I had to make an exception. A truly great experience. God bless."
"Fixing the car isn’t the issue,Any number of people can fix your car. The issue is trust. Can you trust this mechanic to stand by his work and honor his warranty? I can trust Mike! I can trust him because he did just that. After he rebuilt my transmission and I had a leak he went back in and made it right. No games no bull just made it right per the warranty. Good family owned business. I would definitely recommend this place."
