"I'm very disappointed they told me I needed a trans , $5,200 I took it & got a second opinion ,the other shop not only told me what was wrong but they put it up on a hoist & checked & fixed the problem for 90% less, I've been told this was a Christian place I've came more than once, first time being almost done wrong, I sense they didn't check my truck so they just told me anything , after having it for 2 days this one of my work trucks ,I'll pray for them to get some integrity. I'm not mad disappointed. " 1/18/24 Update I went to another shop, and the noise wasn't my Trans. It was my new caytilac converter , making the noise so they were going to charge me to fix something that wasn't needed. Get a second opinion people !"

"Just like most Transmission shops...will only offer a full rebuild...even if you're a mechanic and know there's just one bad part that could be replaced in a short time but you don't have the specialty tools to do it yourself"

"I had Independent Transmission upgrade my 1992 Mustang from the "factory defect" stock 2.73 final drive ratio to a 3.73 ratio. They did a great job, got the work done quickly, and the car works great. I also had some brake work and then one drum was overheating. They took the car back in and rooted out and fixed the problem (an out of round new drum). Even though it was a defective new part and not their fault, they did not charge me to fix it. They were not satisfied until they had my car right. My impression is that Independent Transmission is an honest and competent shop."
